I couldn't find a way to delete my account myself, and since I don't own a large format camera any more...well there's no need to be here
Should I message a mod or would this Thread suffice? :)

Wow!! Thank you guys, I really appreciate your help!! :))
The Sinar system look perfect, just what I needed!!!
Hmm...well... I thought 360mm 6.8 lenses were a bit more common so others might help me in this area. ^^
Or is everyone else just using blu tac, duct tape or screw-in filters? ;)
I just want to know whether it's actually possible to mount the X-Pro System on this lens and how - or if there's an alternative, I'm open to suggestions!
I know what you mean, but as I prefer a...
I'd rather not use stuff like Blu Tac, I intent do use it outdoors a lot and don't want the filters to end up an the bottom of a chasm ^^
I was finally able to get my 360mm in a Copal shutter (had it in a Sinar DB shutter before that) and now that I', ready to use it in the field I need a filter system.
Now I've heard that the Cokin...
I use a 480mm APO Ronar frequently - it'll take a few minutes to gather some shots...
Great work!
That was a background called 'thunder grey' :)
Thank you!! I feel the same way, the first one is much better in my opinion... but as I only took 5 shots I like them all ^^ sort of...

Hehe yeah, I'm guilty as charged... I also tend to take landscape photos in portrait format - silly me :-3

Only in special cases, otherwise even specs and dust particles in lenses would be visible - and I never ever saw that, even with an f-stop of 45 or higher...
How would a pixel be visible? Woudn't that mean that the LCD shutter had to be within the depth of field?
None. We're all lazy bastards, we simply extend the exposure!
Really great, Roman!!
8.6 lb (3.9 kg)..hooray for the Kata BP 502...but at least I can carry anything up to 8x10 with me... including lots of holders, lenses and everything... that is if I had more than 3 holders and more...
Well.. we still have wetplate photography and photographic emulsions to create our own sheet film ;) hehe
Frankt, that's not what we're talking about, I'm talking about the dark line on the right side, about 6-7mm into the negative (vertical format)... And I found out the reason for it:
it's a...
Thank you! :)
Well, they are definitely on the negatives and as Fomapan is really thin it doesn't curl too much, acutally it's a pleasure to scan compared to other film types
And thank you all for your comments, I guess I'll have to get a new screen, it doesn't look oversharpened to me ^^ but then again it might be because of my terrible glasses
Thank you! That's it!!! I did some quite extensive tilt, shift and swing for these portraits to get the eyes right into the plane of focus so a reflection so that must have caused the reflection!! :)
Thank you! :)
I really wish I knew how those marks were produced, I have to assume that the negatives themselves were faulty...it's such a shame, I'd love to make some contacts but - oh well... :-/
great portraits, I find it hard not to distract the viewer too much from the subject when there is a swirly background - but in this case it's very well done!!
The light in the second one is...
Thank you!!! That really means a lot, I've been taking a very looong break from 8x10", much too long when I think back on it - but now your compliments show me that it's a good idea to keep working...

I saw that on facebook earlier ;)
Thank you!! :) I'm really glad it turned out alright, I don't even care for the dust and specs any more- I used to spend hours removing every spot but now I kind of like it! :D

If you can't find a Sinar head you might want to take a look at the Manfrotto 229 (3D Super-Pro Head) - it's not too heavy and supports up to 12 kg/26.5 pounds and really reliable!
I've used it for...
For me the 'best' 8x10 portrait lens is my APO Ronar 480mm f9.0..and I know that it's a process lens and not meant to be a portrait lens - but I like it and that's all that matters...the only...
Thank you! And thank you for the advice though I'm not quite sure how I could attach a filter, the rear cell doesn't have a filter thread if I'm not mistaken... but I'll give it a try!
You're welcome, if you need more specific informations on the lens cells I should be able to help you out in a week or two (I'm right now recovering from a minor surgery)
Thank you for the...
Great, I really like the result! :)
I think it was about 350-380mm @ f 13(?)... The rear cell has more focal length (420-450mm) but doesn't get very sharp, not even when stopped down.
I have another photo I took with the front cell,...
that's a really great portrait, what did you use as a light source?
