Re: New 8x10 for under $500? Interest levels?

I wholeheartedly applaud to your plans! If I hadn't ordered a new 8x10" field camera just a few days ago I'd surely say I want one. :)

    Best Regards

Re: Anyone try these Gaoersi 8x long loupes?

I tried one. I'm wondering why so many people are falling for it.
Yes it looks really nice and sturdy and looks like a really good focusing loupe, and when you try to use it it seems to be quite OK....

    Re: 6x17 Images

They're 3 people in fact. You can see it at original size on Flickr.
I liked the idea shooting the photo when they were standing there, watching the scenery.

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

Thanks Corran. It's not much, just a few mm. I have to admit I'm not too good with metal working. I was thinking about using some chinese made step-up and step-down rings. However there's not too...

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

So here I have a "tiny" 6x17 test shot. Pacemaker Crown Graphic, DaYi 6x17 back, Provia 100F, SA 75/5.6. The coverage of this lens is amazing. :p However I couldn't focus to infinity. I knew that...

    My nature and landscape photography

    Hello there!

Is it OK if I start a thread here where I put up one of my pictures now and then?

I'll begin with a recent picture. "Das kleine Felsenmeer" in the "Fischbachtal".

    I tried Tim's service, and I think it's fantastic. He's super friendly too :)

Here you can see a tiny 1:1 (actual pixels) crop of a 9734 x 19705 pixel file. This was from a 6x12 slide scanned by...

    Re: Starting photography with LF

    Thanks, Andrew and Wilhelm!

Yes, the Crown is a groovy camera. I even did some handheld shots with it. However unfortunately I lost the strap lately. I'll have to think about how to replace it.
