I used to have the 8x10 model. Worked great, was inexpensive. Only drawback was the saize compared to a regular 8x10 print washer.

At my local mom & pop photo store, they sell Lauder Formula 76 in gallon and liter sizes. It runs about $12 a gallon, worth it in my case.
Not alone? I think not.

Aug is a tad soon for me, but if you do decide to do it, please let me know. Sept or Oct would be better for me at this point though.

Are you sure it isn't the condenser stage of the D2v you are thinking about?
I too have a microtech scanner, although a different model than yours. What you are hearing is the scanner physically shifting the focus from the reflective scan area (glass) to the transparency...
I just bought a copy from the same guy. Can't wait to see it. I live not too far down the road too, and I've got a restored '31 ford woodie, maybe a road trip is in order ;)
