First time posting an image, comments welcome.

It allows one to easily make and use a variety of contrast and unsharp masks. Google Lynn Rydeka, an accomplished practitioner. His website shows great examples of what can be achieved using these...
I have had a complete system for years. Best stuff I ever bought.
Thanks Bruce
I cut a hole in plastic food storage lids and put the spikes of my tripod through then to make snow shoes when I shoot in loose sand.
Can someone give me a quick tutorial on how to post images? Ive been around for years, but have never shared my work. Keep it simple, and remember I know nothing at all.
Thanks for your help.

Simple..
Buy the SV AND a Nikkor 450M. Problem solved.

How does the MT compendium mount to the Ebony. I thought, from looking at pictures, that the MT comp. fit into two holes in the top of the front standard, while the Ebony has a shoe mount....
Is there a high quality compendium shade that I can mount on the shoe on the top of my Ebony's front standard? I would need an adjustable one to account for rise/shift movements. Does such a thing...
I have a 120 Nikaon Macro ED, never used, like new, in the box. PM if you are interested.

I have a never-used Nikkor-AM ED 120 5.6 for $400. Let me know.
I built my sink out of ply, and then took it to the local speed shop and had it sprayed with a high quality truck bed liner. Impervious to chems, never needs re-coating, looks sharp.
PM me if you are interested in my never-used Nikkor AM ED 120 at a reasonable price.
Welcome Doc. Jim Fitzgerald right in Ventura is as friendly and helpful as they come. Give him a shout.

Another vote for SK Grimes. Pricey, and it puts a premium on not losing them, but man are they nice.
I will be offering a like-new, never used Nikkor AM*ED 1:5.6 120mm. If you'd like it in an Ebony board, PM me.
See all of you there.
Bruce
Jim, I'm planning to come. It will be great to spend a little time with like-minded folks, and it will certainly be good to see you again.

I saw Jim Fitzgerald's show in Ventura a couple of weeks ago, and his gorgeous carbon prints were presented unglazed. They looked amazing.
We will probably come on Friday. I will introduce myself, and it would be great to see the Big Boy set up! Looking forward to seeing your work.
Hey Jim
Congrats on the show. My wife and I will be in Ventura August 3 & 4. Will you be at the gallery either of those days?
I bought three plastic food containers, cut an 'X' in the middle of the lids, and then pushed the lids onto the spikes of my tripod. They are light, easy to pack, and have worked great in sand dunes,...
I had the same problem, until I switched to VERY fresh rapid fixer.
It is not at all clear what the actual procedure is for posting images. I clicked on the highlighted [IMG], but still do not understand. How about a quick tutorial for the slower members, like me.
Prime both sides and then have it coated with spray-on truck bed liner. I did this to my darkroom sink ten years ago and it is good as new.
In a scene with an extended brightness range, such as I frequently find here in the desert Southwest, Pickers method will very often dump your shadows into a very unsatisfying Zone 1 or 2. It is,...
I've been here for many years, and never before felt compelled to respond to someone's website. This work is some of the very best I've seen. Simply outstanding.

The uni bellows on my Ebony tends to vignette when using an 80mm lens with significant rise. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to spend the $$ on a bag bellows?
Thanks
Bruce Pottorff
Andrew,
Great idea to have a pocket mirror for checking things up front when standing up there in awkward or dangerous! Thanks.
Bruce
I think I will be there as well. Do you guys share prints? If not, should we bring prints to share?

Hi All
I am planing a trip out to Little Finland, Nevada in the spring. I have read conflicting reports about the difficulty of the off-road portions of the trip. Has anyone been out there? Will I...
I use the lids from those plastic storage containers as plates on the feet of my tripod. Cut a small hole in the middle, push 'em onto the spike, and you're good to go.
Years ago I took my sink to a speed shop and had it coated with spray-on truck bed liner. Chem resistant, lasts forever, looks sharp. Easily beats paint coatings of any type.
I made a print in regular B&W mode, then switched back to ABW and all was well. Whew!
Nozzles look good. It seems like a software glitch.
I make B&W prints using CS3, ABW settings on an Epson R2400. Last week I printed color snaps using the software that came with a new Canon G10. Now, when I try to print B&W, the prints are very warm,...

That might do 'er. Thanks.
I am interested in exploring Tony Kuyper's luminosity masks. He employs Photoshop shortcut key strokes using windows, and says on his tutorial page that "Mac users...can look up the corresponding key...
For those of you in SoCal, I highly recommend you go see the show organized by Matthew Blais in Riverside. I've spent the last 15 years working in a vacuum, and it was a real treat to be in a room...
Guys...I'm at a loss here. Any help out there?
