Hi Stefan,
Yes, I am still using my Travelwides, one of them with a 90mm as well. Focus was calibrated per instructions, i.e. focusing on an object in the far distance and setting the helicoil...
Here's my lightweight Alpinist with a set of lenses ranging from 165mm to 450mm. ThinkTank camera bag, Gitzo/RRS tripod. A joy to use!

When they are branded "Linhoff", they are probably some fake rip-off lenses... ;)
Nice images, daimocow!

New and some used gear is also available from Christoph Greiner Photo in Germany.

I'll be shooting my last pack of film with an old Graflex back soon. The film is slightly expired, though: it was already bad by the time the first man landed on the moon, Feb 1969. ;)
Cheers...
Finally! 35 months after pledging, the cameras finally arrived. Having already calibrated focus on the TW90, I'll go shooting some film later today.

For developing 5x7" film I am using the Jobo 3006 on a simple Simma-roller. Taking it off the motor base and filling/refilling it works without any problems. Development is very even.

An another shipment went out to Germany. ;-)

Since the depth of field at f2.5 is quite shallow, I didn't even bother trying to get the rangefinder calibrated, but rather focus on the ground glass. I have the rangefinder calibrated for the...
This may be true. However, at 10 USD, I gave the LED lamp a try and it worked fine.
What is the UV wavelength range on your flashlight? How strong is it and how much did you pay for it?
Thx,...
Ed's advice is right on the spot. Regarding bleaching the Aero Ektar lens, this works fine with a simple IKEA Jansjö LED lamp for 10 EUR/USD. The lamp was placed appr. 1"/2.5cm above the rear...
I'd highly recommend contacting Jo Lommen, too. He did a perfect job restoring parts of my Aero Speed combo, and the lens boards are superb. As far as I know, he also sells Aero Ektars and even...
Yes, I saw it in the news, very sad. Thanks for the info regarding the park.

Last year I purchased a Grafmatic holder from a photographer in the US. The parcel was sent via USPS Priority Mail. It arrived at my place in Germany a mere 4 months later. Per stamps on the parcel...
+1 as well. I own various models for 35mm, DSLRs, Mf, and LF, ranging from a small Retrospective 5 all the way up to a large rolling case. The designs are perfect and their customer support is...
Where is that park exactly? I'd like to go there next time I am in London.

Preston,
"dorf" in German means "small village". "Düssel" is the name of the river flowing through the city and into the river Rhine, so "Düsseldorf" is the (no longer) small village at the river...
Sergio, I just sent you a PM.
Hasta pronto

Perfect! I already have a few spare B25 plates for my Speed Graphic and Linhofs... ;-)
Cheers,

RRS makes a universal plate B-25 which nicely fits a Linhof, Graflex Speed Graphic and others. You may want to consider lining up the hole for one of those plates.

Yes, Europe is very dangerous. Best not to travel there... ;-)

I may be mistaken by the tiny image, but doesn't the back say "DBP" (which would be "Deutsches Bundespatent"). In that case, at least the back is from after the war. West Germany only exists since...
A large down jacket with my hands stuck through the sleeves. All that in a tent at 10000 feet and -15 C. One of the holders then contained a small feather, making a nice photogram.

Almost. As Jeff states in the above mentioned article, LR applies a slightly modified upsampling (and downsampling) routine in comparison to Photoshop:

Mortensen,
Here in Germany, I am buying "Toppits" (by Melitta) double Ziploc bags. The one litre bag (18x20cm) nicely fits up to two 4x5" holders. I usually only place a single holder in each...

Rhodes,
You could also send the camera to Jo Lommen in the Netherlands (so it stays within the EU). He did a marvelous job adjusting my Speed Graphic and I can only highly recommend him:...
