And the left over butter milk went into a cake. :)

And then it is butter, two pints of heavy whipping cream and 45 minutes cranking and ya have 10 ounces of pure butter.

Thanks Michael, going to stay in the nice warm house and churn some butter and watch the super bowl, oh and drink beer.
-10 F here this morn, something to whine about IMO. lol
Calif, head East man head East. lol
:D actually I hardly use either just cut it till it fits.
That was interesting thanks for posting, I`m going to take some pics of some of my engines later.
I think I`m going to build another camera like this one but smaller and make a bag bellows for it.
Thanks Stone, sitting here looking at 11 deer outside the window.
Yep could be worse, I like winter though better than heat.
Picture of me taken today with my 5x7 pine board home made camera.

Thanks Tim, I`ll have a look.
Yours truly.

I`m just the opposite I hate mm.
I`ll right on the back of the stops what it worked for, this one, sun out, one second exposure so maybe I don`t waste so much paper.
Fun camera but to cold to be...
Heck if I know, it`s a size hole that worked. :p
Thanks StoneNYC.
Thanks Randy, it`s been fun. :)
A little better picture.
The picture is really focused clear, modern phone camera can`t take a good picture.
...
Yeee Hawww, best pictures yet.
Stopped the lens to 5/8ths and about a one second exposure.
Contact print five seconds.
Sun to my back.
New old paper, new batch of developer, water wash.
The...
I`m pretty careless so probably contaminating a little, will try to improve that.
Ya know I didn`t think of the issue of which side the ground side of the glass was on, I did the measuring as you...
Another question, what`s the difference between stop bath and fixer?
The instructions in the stop bath says for people that are tired of using smelly fixer.
It seems they do the same thing.
Big help there Tim, I`ve run quite a few pics through the developer.
I used the last piece of paper in that box so will open a new box, it`s the same stuff but if that`s part of the problem it...
Well fellars the problems never end, I think it`s bad paper, we fixed all the light leaks and took another picture.
The exposure to the light with contact printing went from 4 seconds to 25 seconds...
I found quite a few light leaks, used black silicone and covered them and will tape with gaffers tape if it ever gets here.
Hopefully we will get some better pictures.
Good to hear and your exactly right.
Actually I have a box of powder stop bath, I`ll mix some up.
Did you weather the storm ok?
Ok thanks, will give it a try.
Haven`t been using a wash, developer to fixer.
Went out a stuck a trouble light inside the camera and found one pin hole in the bellows, going to check again tonight when its dark.
Tape should be here tomorrow.
Will try and make improvements, have some Gaff tape coming then going to check for light leaks better.
Thanks you Andrew O`Neill
I imagine it must be silly or aggravating to you guys trying to guide someone that most likely won`t progress any further than this crude camera but I`d like to say thanks for all the help it was...
Ok here`s another try, stopped down the lens too 1 1/4 inch what ever that is, the contrast is a bit better.
Now I see some other junk in the image ,streaks of something, wouldn`t a light leak end...
Thanks, yep I know nothing about the rest of that stuff, I`ll try stopping down a little.
I have that site bookmarked, lots of good info there.
Terry, 1/6th second, can a person run a lens cap that fast?
Please correct me if I`m wrong about this statement if exposure time effects picture quality?
Four seconds isn`t a problem, plenty of time to turn the switch off and that clock ticks so I can count the sec.
The room is dark and it`s a store bought safe light so good there.
On the down side...
Here`s my small closet dark room, I put a clock in there and that small light with a bulb that looks like a tail light bulb.
Ran a few test runs a came up with a 4 sec. exposure so I think that will...
Thanks Roger I`ll check into that.
Here`s another image we just took that isn`t bad in my unknowledgeable opinion.
...
I`m photographing the photo.
Here`s the last attempt, it took five tried to get it dark enough using the contact printing meathod.
It`s so hard to time the exposure by turning a light on and off...
Question, what on these pictures makes you think there`s a light leak?
The bright white circles and area at the top is the sky between the trees.
The dark across the bottom is the shadow of the...
Thanks , I`ll see if I can find some of that tape in the stores.
There was no sun when I took that last picture.
Should be able to try some more pics today.
Cool beans, looking forward to seeing more pics.
Thanks Tim, the paper holder fits tight in the camera so can`t pull it away.
What I do notice and if ya compare negatives and pictures of the last two trials you see that the better contrast came...
I seen that before, looks like a neat design.
After looking over the picture I see that last picture lost some contrast compared to the one on the lower left of my last post, wonder what caused that?
Also, Stone NYC, stay safe in that storm...
