Have not read of anyone building a copy camera on this forum. I was under the impression copy cameras were still free for hauling away.

Get a Shen-Hao, Chamonix, Toyo, Wista, Horseman or Interpid 4x5 and a Nikkor, Fujinon, Symmar or Sironar 150mm lens.
A center column!!! Heaven forbid!! Drew would not approve!

Seems the Super Chromega heads are not that expensive on ebay. The power supply was pretty simple and could be reproduced rather easily, assuming the head does not come with the power supply.
I scanned my archives and I did not take many pictures of my CLS2000 when I was preparing it for use. Nothing that would help here.

I can't offer any useful information on the filters. I did not take my CLS2000 head apart that far. In fact the CLS2000 I got had never been taken apart before and was essentially untampered and in...
Nice, thanks for sharing.
This may not apply to still photography, but I understand some Kern Yvar Cine lenses were only coated on front and rear surfaces. Therefore, the internal surfaces could...
Do you have the manual? You can put a coin on the area of interest, then center the coin in the hole on the base of the focuser.
I think just the software cost more than ten lensboards. Assuming one send the file away for printing.
Maybe I'm mistaken. Which software is needed to make these?
I took my eye away from the viewfinder (where the eclipse was filling the frame) and, even though the sun looked tiny, the view was magnificent, Very eerie. I can't imagine not wanting to see it in...
Perspective ('compression') is only affected by subject distance. Film format or lens have no effect.
You are on the right track, cropping your 360mm images to see if you would like the 600.
Wow, that was fantastic. They should have that every spring.
Waiting for the sun to do some dry runs. Finally got some sun today.
Practice is needed. Lots of little unexpected things.
For example the lens is 1000mm equivalent focal length. The Bolex reflex...
You can easily get into really long exposure times with f-stop timing. For example if you need to increase a one-second exposure by 60 stops, your exposure will be longer than the estimated history...
The only measurement I usually do is on the ground glass. Like in post #2. Stops of exposure error are 2x the magnification of the image.
Another nice thing about the pritout in post #2 is that it...
I had a similar good experience getting replacement seals for my Watts Powers 440 Fotopanel a few years ago.

One can probably figure it out by looking at it (inside and out). Is it labeled in English?
I'm preparing to do movies of the event:

Yes, at 24C, some developers 'not optimized for rotary' will have times less than 4 min.
Looks promising.
I got two 50 sheet boxes of Tmax-400 8x10 sometime around 2012 and finished it around 2015. As I recall the expiry was somewhere around 2009. The film worked very well with only minimal fogging and...
I wasn't sure if you had encountered the equation before, the 'thin lens equation'
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/geoopt/lenseq.html
1/p + 1/q = 1/f
That is very nice!!
I'm not sure about the current market for large format enlarger lenses. Quite a while back a got a set of silver, Durst branded, Componon lenses for less than $100 each. These went from 80mm to...
$10,000 enlarging lens? Nothing I ever heard of in a Durst mount, but just about anything could be adapted I suppose.
All done. Just don't sneeze or cough before putting the top piece in place to hold it all together.
This was a Cine lens aperture, about the size of a quarter. A large format mechanism is much...
Here is blade #9 of 10 going in. It will fit underneath the three blades that have been pivoted toward the center.

In this picture the blades are covering all the holes, but three more need to be fitted. I'm laying the blades clockwise. The first two blades that had been fitted can be pivoted toward the middle,...
Work your way around, adding blades one-by-one until you get to the place where they start to overlap. In this example I'm working clockwise. In the case of this mechanism, there are thee free holes...
The 210mm Componon-S came with only five blades, so it is easier to re-assemble. With paitience, you should be able to get yours back together.

This is how I do it on a mechanism with...
Great to see master craftsmen and their art recognized!
Late model Schneider Componon-S, 240mm, 210mm and 135mm. Does not get much better, or expensive than this in enlarging lenses.
247771
How or why?
210mm Nikkor is a nice lens. Recessed lensboard or longer shaft on the filter holder.
Which enlarger?
Maybe you need bigger filters. I use below the lens Ilford filters with a 300mm Rodenstock 5.6.

Ha ha!
Just got some more 11x14 paper, so this is one of the first prints.

Which serial no. Lens did you get? Did you contact the manufacturer, or try to get your money back?
If you have a better 75mm lens formula, I'd encourage you to bring it to market and see what...
