  1. Re: Will a Toyo 67/45 Roll Film Holder fit a B&J view camera?

    Steve:
The Toyo roll film back is exactly 1.5 inches thick if that helps you decide. It fits fine under my Chamonix 4x5 spring back. It also can be mounted as a Graflok back.

Re: Roll film back for Chamonix 4x5?

Regarding the original question here...I have a Chamonix 45N-1 and I have used a Toyo roll film holder with it. The camera's ground glass springs back far enough to allow this holder to be inserted...

    Re: post your trees!

Coast redwoods, Northern California, in the fog. Toyo 45A, Agfapan 100, Nikkor 135.

    Re: post your trees!

Hoh rain forest in Washington State. Toyo 45A, Agfapan 100, Nikkor 135. This would have been better in color of course (if you like green).

    Re: post your trees!

Here's one of some bent trees that I took 25 years ago. I wish I could remember exactly where it was taken but the best I can say is, somewhere in California. Taken with my Toyo 45A, Agfapan 100,...

    Re: Chamonix 45N Lens Boards

I ordered a center drilled board from this guy. It never came and he is not returning my emails. Beware.

  7. Re: Stability Comparison btw Chamonix and Metal Fields?

    Paul:
I had a Toyo 45A which I sold on eBay (but not to you!). It was a fine camera and built like a brick outhouse. I replaced it with a Chamonix 45. I have to say that the Chamonix was really a...
  8. Re: Be careful with your Chamonix lens board locking tabs

I ordered 2 boards (2 different transactions) from this guy. I only got one. The one I got was way too fat to fit my Chamonix 4x5. I had to file the bottom to make it work. Still trying to get the...

    Processing woes with ancient FP4

I'm getting back into LF after a long absence. That seems to be a familiar phrase around here.

I had some FP4 and Agfapan 100 left from my early days 20 years ago. I shot some of the FP4 and was...

    Re: 3030 head question

I bought a new mounting plate and it works perfectly. So I'm not sure what the other plate is. It works but the big lever can't move far enough to allow the little brass lever to lock the mechanism....

    Re: Chamonix wish list

I have an idea for an accessory. I want a mask for the roll film formats (6x7, 6x9) to aid in composition. I think that a near-perfect solution would be to punch the appropriate sized hole in a focus...

    Re: 3030 head question

Thanks for the clue regarding having the wrong plate. The plate I have certainly looks right but there is no identifying mark on it. I'll get a new 3157 plate and see if that solves the problem.

    3030 head question

I got a Bogen/Manfrotto 3030 head from eBay recently. It is quite nice and meets my needs. There is a little discrepancy however. The quick release plate has a locking mechanism but I can't move the...

    Re: which darkcloth for Chamonix?

I took my new Blackjacket out to try it on my new Chamonix today. It is sunny and about 85 here. Wow was it warm and stuffy in there (and I have the white one). Also it didn't seem very convenient to...
  15. Re: Chamonix 45N-1 Universal bellows and Folding Viewer Review

Good info. But where would one obtain these accessories? When i got my 45N-1 I received utterly no information about contacting the factory, obtaining support or purchasing accessories. Not even an...
