Re: 240v Nocon timer in USA?

Thanks for all the suggestion - I "adapted" a plug connector as per the advice here: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/connecting-safelight-to-ilford-multigrade-500-controler.141235/ by sawing...

Re: 240v Nocon timer in USA?

I guess I need to either use it or make it usable to somebody else (eg to sell). Both of these mean figuring it out.

It seems that the connector is discontinued. Anybody know of a source for the plug? I'm attaching a better image from elsewhere.

Re: 240v Nocon timer in USA?

Thanks Bob it's the square one I need. I've found the reference by looking inside. Seems I need a Bulgin PX0770 6A plug (the socket is a Bulgin P780).

Re: 240v Nocon timer in USA?

One more question.....what do you call the plug type for the socket on the back of Nocon to connect the enlarger, and does anybody know of a source for them?

    Thanks for any info.

Hmm. Cycles are not mentioned on the casing but I didn't think about the timing - just the voltage!

    240v Nocon timer in USA?

Can you use a 240v model Nocon enlarger timer on 120v (USA) electrics?

If not is there a workaround, such as a transformer? Is a transformer needed either side of the timer? (in other words to...

    No!
  9. Re: Cambo Wide DS - does it work with XL lenses only?

I agree that the lens panel for this was usually "short" regardless of lens and the flange focal distance was made up by an appropriate rear spacer.

Re: Copal shutter size 0 aperture pole

Some of the last Copal 0 and 1 shutters made did indeed have click stop apertures in third stops. For example my Apo Symmar L lenses have this feature.

Thanks for all the responses - I didn't spot the threads on the shutter connection so assumed I needed a bulb and tubing!
  12. Re: materials question: inox or pvc for stuff into contact with darkroom chemicals?

Some sink manufacturers are using polypropylene instead of PVC now (I'm told it doesn't go as brittle or rigid with age and exposure to chemicals). Not sure if that is any easier to work with?

Would the oversize lid flange of the Jobo 2500 cause it to sit up at the lid end? Ilford drums are identical height both ends IIRC.

Also look out for 18x24cm versions of the Fidelity from Europe which can sometimes be obtained for reasonable money - the slides are the same as 8x10 inch version.

  24. Re: DeVere 504 Dichromat Filter set up - help needed please

The Mk V twin lamp head does have a sliding shutter mechanism, or at least both of mine do. It is quite sensitive but it's a basic mechanism which might need some cleaning from time to time.
