Ahha. Just seen the other thread under Darkroom Equipment about this
Anyone tried one of these yet?? There is a photographer in Uk selling these on the bay for the Patterson 3 reel tank. Seeing as Jobos are outrageous now could be an interesting alternative. Just...

Found some fabulous photos of Americana circa 1940, here on the Denver Post site. Enjoy.

Anyone had any success in finding a suitable petzval to put on a 3x4 Graflex? Or even 4x5?
I've tried a couple and usually only able to focus close-up only, say up to head and shoulders, granted...
Sly, jp498 is more or less correct. early in the morning is best and flat/ cloudy light is also good to knock down the reflections. If you are early enough or when its not too crowded just wait until...
One more from the Mille 2009 show. I screwed up the framing a bit on the super D, no framelines!

I think this is the lens you got from me. Glad to see yo are making good use of it . That is a lovely photo.
A Jag from the California Mille show, 2009 I think.
Wow Great Gandolfi. Reminded me of this I took years ago and more by luck than design I was toning the neg in copper toner, keeping it in the soup for much too long and voila! Solarized. I think at...

I am building a template site with...
So long standing NewLab closed a couple of months ago which leaves us with Lightwaves and Oscars. Anyone know of others, more specifically E6 and C41 processors.
Yes great combo with the graflok back. Glad I did mine thanks Bert Saunders. One caveat though with the quater plate( dont know if same applies to 4x5) is rotating the back with polaroid back in...
Dont know about abstract, but what the s***. Phase One p25 back and a dallmeyer 1b lens. Probably an effect from returning the back to its shooting position with the lens open.
I'm no expert but One problem I find with my setup at least, is that the range of focus is only about 18'' to 36''. Thats with a 6 inch dallmeyer petzval, good enough for tight shots to tight torso...
Er here
Super d 3x4 and Dallmeyer 1b wide open with Arista edu film in Hc110. Diffused daylight
Not really an abstract, but kinda exited as this is one of first attempt with Dallmeyer 1b, touch of swirlies just creeping in, tiny DOF.
First try with Dallmeyer 1b on Graflex Super d, using a buddy at work. Arista Edu 200 Shot wide open , about f3.5, dev'd in Hc110(another first) for 7.5 min
Thanks Mark, that pretty much confirms my assumption but I don't have a 25 to compare. I guess in-cell is another phrase for in-glass. I'll have to go out and try it.
Just found an old glass Wratten filter which is just marked A and "A In-cell" on the box. It is red but, but does it have any special use above the obvious use of a red filter? Wrattens I have seen...
