  1. Re: Do you know what is the problem with this Schneider Super-Symmar 210 XL lens?

I think there is an older thread where it is mentioned that opening a Super-Symmar XL lens for DIY may not be a good idea owing to the unusually fine mechanical tolerances of this design......

In case anybody still needs one of these I noticed that there is one included with this eBay listing: 151881512838

Just FYI - I have no affiliation with the seller!

    Re: 90mm lens on 8x10

FWIW my Angulon s/n 12 million produces a fairly defined vignette just within the width of the 8x10 sheet. It is certainly mechanically limited in terms of coverage and doesn't really fade gradually.
  4. Re: Horseman Optical Exposure Computer Demonstration

Not very helpful but the later versions of this meter in both 6x9 and 4x5 versions use silver oxide 4SR44 batteries instead of the old mercury cells. Works great, especially as noted for bellows and...
  5. Re: Jobo 3004 expert tank for 4x5 using CPE2 plus processor?

The loading base for the 2509n spiral takes the guesswork out of loading 4x5 sheets. I found it worth the investment.

  9. Toyo 45A-II sloppy focus track - how to tighten?

I haven't used my Toyo 45A-II in some time and was considering selling it but I've just noticed that the focus track is a bit loose in its V-grooves (when focusing it pulls slightly to one side...

Attaching a photo in case it helps in your search. The viewer clamps on the side facing you and can swing out the way for fine focusing with a lupe.

Re: Absolute best ground glass and/or fresnel

You used to be able to buy original shipping cartons for Imacon scanners as an accessory item. Might be worth looking at if sending overseas.

Re: Schneider Symmar-S Ebay offer question?

The only major difference is that the Nikkor-W has multicoating which may result in slightly higher contrast and more resistance to flare, but this doesn't really make the Symmar a "worse" lens.....
