    I would travel light.
    Take the Leica and lots of film
    Use some good tight grain film with the Leica M2 (50mm dual range Summicron, can borrow dad's 35mm lens)
    You will enjoy your time taking...

    Looks like you will have to remove your cable release to close the camera..
    You could try re-orienting the lens on the lens board so that the cable release screwed in at 9o'clock rather than the 11...
