I had trouble removing the labels as well, then I put a strip of clear Scotch tape on the holder first and use Avery removable labels over that and have no problem with removal of the labels.
I have used the Beseler but am now using a Unicolor which turns in one direction only. I reverse the drum about every two minutes. I use it for 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 Jobo drums. I once let the drum...
Jerry,
I did not see that. But, yes, that is the same information I have. Sorry to duplicate. I followed the instructions on an SEI meter I had once and it worked well for me. Thanks for the...
There was some discussion recently about how to use the SEI meter. For anyone interested I have a copy of a letter sent to me by Fred Picker on how to set up and use the SEI meter with a zone system...
Are these still under copyright or can you legally copy them onto dvd's?
I have two Fred Picker VHS original Zone VI videos. One is "Photographing with Fred Picker" and the other is "Printing with Fred Picker"
Contact me if you can use these.

Just to confirm, I have two of the 110x110mm Toyo to Linhof adapters and they both work fine on my 5x7 wood Canham. There may have been some change made by Keith to accommodate the Toyo adapter.
I use the Toyo adapter on my Canham.

I had a similar experience. I was asked my purpose in entering Canada and when I said photography, he took down the serial number of every piece of large format camera, lenses, meter etc. He gave...
Another thing to keep in mind is registering your equipment with US Customs before you go.
Customs can and might charge you import tax on your own equipment when you come back into the country. I...

Before you give up on tray develpment, try using an oversize smooth bottom tray. Years ago before going to rotary drum processing I tried pyro in Patterson trays and the pattern of troughs and...
I have done this years ago. Use an enlarging paper without printing on the back. Some of the Kodak papers had this. The paper speed is really slow, like about 6. I used a low contrast graded...
I process 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 in Jobo drums on a Beseler motor base this way and get no scratches.
I presoak in a tray, shuffling through several times and then transfer the film to the drum filled...

This is actually one of the better Linhof adapter boards. I have adapted these to...
I use the Gravity Works 8x10 print washer for film and it works fine. No scratches. I usually fill and dump a few times and then stop the water flow with the tank full and let the film leech out...
I contacted the new Jobo supplier for some parts and they are still getting familiar with the products. Overwhelmed might be a better word. They were still helpful and are expecting a shipment from...
This obsession over lens quality of modern lenses is almost a moot point. The quality of all the major manufacturer's lenses is so good that any differences in lenses, even from the same...
I meant to type CCG, not CCC. Sorry.
I feel compelled to respond on this question. I do not usually offer negative comments on anything, but I must give my experience with CCC here. I bought a view camera from them once that was...
All the convertible lenses I have heard of always place the single element behind the shutter. I may be wrong. Also, as Jim says, that does seem to be a stretch for the focal lengths. It is also...

Just a thought. If everyone sends only 14 prints, it makes extra work for the moderator who will have to keep track of each portfolio with the missing print for the return instead of...
