    Re: Found Photographs

Here's a photo of my grandfather and grandmother on their wedding day in Tacoma, WA. Neat how the photographer used a horseless carriage as a photo prop, and the painted background.

    Re: Strange Negative

Perhaps they are copy negatives taken from a magazine or newspaper ? Or perhaps they were half tone negatives made for burning a plate to use in a printing press ... looks like a lot of ruby-lith...

Re: New to LF recomendations for lenses?

A point I may have missed among the replies ... but for changing lenses ... it is convenient to have each of your lenses mounted in its own lens board. While two lenses may fit the same board,...

    Thanks for sharing the link.

The little multimedia show with Edward's prints and Kim's narration is a nice touch.

    Re: Film Holder Flap repair?

Remember, the film holder's light tightness is due to the baffle, not the tape.

A couple things that folks touched on that might be useful in your thought process:

A good light stand can make a lot of difference in how easy it is to set up your light(s). Going with something...

Re: Overexposed negatives when tilting lens

    Hi Jason,

I don't know that I'd put as much faith in my shutters to let me know if things were right. Not all shutters function the same. My Copals won't allow me to fire the shutter when open...

Re: Overexposed negatives when tilting lens

    Curious.

You mentioned that this was your second time developing 4x5 sheet film. Is this still early in your development of large format work habits?

One sheet out of 6 with major...

    Re: Photography as a Weapon

As I recall, a photo by itself isn't admissable as evidence in a court of law. It takes someone (the photographer or someone else), under oath, to testify that the photo is a true and accurate...

    Re: Lenses- Art Repro

It seems to me that the distance that you have between the art work and the camera position is critical to figuring what focal length lens might be best for the job.
