Yes. Doesn't have the square footage/area required to scan the 4x5 film.
Not total area but the film scanning area: it's a narrow strip on the middle of the scanner

That's both unusual and dangerous. I thought manufacturer would've tested storage of chemicals in the same bottles they're are shipped with?
Most amusing line in that story :-P
Didn't you take any pics?
(what's zipcar btw?)
Love this composition and the colors. Makes it look like a classical painting -the colours being 'muted' a bit.
Would the colours remain similar even after the longish drying time?
Agfa/Modern half plate enlarger- just shy of the 5x7 size.
Condenser enlarger that uses a higher wattage not-so-easy-to-source incandescent bulb.
/Trying to make alternate multi-bulb head for it
I don't get why you won't use the other Ilford developer either.
I'm in Bangalore - Delhi has Eastern which are distributors for Ilford/foma - aren't you getting chemicals from there?
If not...
I remember reading on this Forum or APUG not that far back about someone buying new cameras of the same Make? So the maker should've parts?
Wicked!
The prints and negatives look humongously big -paper negatives? What paper is made available in the sizes printed there?
The standards and the knobs look quite like the Toyo 'f' that I have, only mine's in black. I didn't know they had colour options in these. Parts still available from Toyo iirc.
Love how the branch is reaching the sky - and the dried chems seem to be doing the opposite. Happy accident?
Really like that second camera - I'm wondering how you've managed to add the flash sync with it -and what the two black metal boxes on top are for

Been discussing this on the 120 gp3 thread. The factory is moved/moving and yet to restart from what I hear from the eBay sellers.
Not much clarity on when they'll restart prodn, sadly.
+1
Although I have to look up HWJ and Robert Adams.
If one can't see beauty in the world that exists right around us, tough to see it elsewhere.
Okay! I'm browsing on the phone, and the text and video frames are overlapping, so I'll probably look them up on the computer. Definitely curious about your way of working! :-)
Hello Bob, are you referring to those on the Lab Services section? (dealing with film processing?)
Went through another couple of threads on the topic, post Michael's reply. Loads of Info here, but I get the feeling that even with all that, this is something where experience is needed to actually...
I see. I wondered about the pipe -it seemed to recirculate hot air - the outlet for hot air to escape is elsewhere? (on top, maybe?)
Hmmm. Interesting, I'm following the other thread you started on chemistry. Looks a doable project but project nonetheless. :-)
Wow! You've used an existing setup to install led inside? Nicely done. Which side are the fans you refer to?
I was wondering what a gas burst system actually did, thanks for the vid. Actually looks quite doable! Nice. (I'm assuming it's Best for film in hangers ie., LF only?)
Interesting. Just saw...
The first picture has a beautiful hue to it. :-)

Yes! But I could only attend if it's local to me. Or at least within a day's ride.

A personal archive sounds good. Ralph, which type of archiving were you referring to when you said it will tax the system? A personal archive, building up over a month or so should be fine isn't it? ...
Well, if you shoot other formats, you might quite enjoy it. Condenser enlarger w parellelogram mechanism - and those apparently are ones which don't need refocusing with Change in enlargement size.
Varioscop 60s are still being serviced by kienzle. Pretty good deal if only paying for fuel. Check if you get any extra lamps/bulbs with it.
And afaik does only upto 120 format, not 4x5.
Nonsense.
Bots are such a non issue.
What a ridiculous premise to ask for closing the group up.
