Amazing shot! I think this looks more natural IMHO.
Are these nikkor lenses mentioned here?
Simply beautiful.
Perfect thank you.
Very informative, can you explain that in more detail.
Cheers.
I think I miss communicated, mostly I would use this for photography but an occasional office or school work print I was referring to.
I think I am leaning towards to epson 3800, just want to ask if this could also be used for normal document printing just want to avoid getting another for my home office, and my daughters school...
What the cost like, I mean I heard that cartridges of some printers are very expensive. I am not sure how many prints I can get from one fill.
What about paper, these labs just use one kind of paper and is that suitable for b&w?
Hello,
Any good printer recommendation, in the same league as epson 4990 scanner, price wise. Also is it a good idea to print at home?
Cheers

Thank you, I am also exploring options to make a DIY 8x10 as I also want to shoot X-ray film which is cheap and easily available here, and then contact print since I don't have an 8x10 or for that...
Very nice, can you share your camera details? How you managed a DIY 8x10.
I just got two boxes of 4x5, and these are my first - what a shame.
Beautiful, when you expose at a different speed, do you develop at film speed or the exposure speed?
Yes that's a lovely picture, can't wait to be able to contact print :)
Thank you!
Which section is the thread in, I can't find it.
Thank you Joe, I don't have an enlarger any idea how I can pre-flash.
Very nice!!! Can you share details of how you exposed. I have Harman loaded in one of my holders but not sure how to set exposure, there is no speed given on the box.
Cheers

When you metered the shadow side of the tree, what were the reading and how you set exposure. I mean did you overexpose?

Hello,
I have been trying to retain detail in the highlights, while properly exposing shadow areas. Trying the old tech where you expose for the "S" and dev for the "H". Here is my application of...
Thank you Ari, but I have still not achieved the Jason level :)
Thank you!
I have been trying something similar for the last one week, I was inspired by a portrait posted by Jason on the 16th. The initial thought that comes to mind is wow, and then you start telling...
These are outstanding shots.
Hello All,
Today I got some supplies from the US, and among everything else I got two boxes of Harman Direct Positive paper. I am clueless on how to use it. I don't have an enlarger, nor a...
I prefer the straight scan.
With my 4x5 this time, so that I can post here without disturbing the thread.
Thank you Keth, you have solved the puzzle for me. It was bothering me too much, I kept thinking what have I done wrong very hard to sleep with such things on your mind. Coming weekend I will try it....
Thank you guys, @ Stone, I had that thought right after the shot 1/30 with a 50mm lens hand held, what was I thinking :) do you guys think the whites are white and the blacks are black, if there are...

Hi Jason,
