I have a GT3541LS, I don't plan to upgrade to 3542 or 3543, however, I really like the locking knob on the Collar, since I have a few different option for my tripod head setup. 1. Bowl, 2, an adapter...
That is BSO... show me next time when I stop by.
If it was never in a catalog, how to know such a lens even (possibly) exists?
The Hypergon in the auction house could be a 150mm. I have seen a few 150mm Hypergon.
Some of those rare lens, appear maybe once in a very long time.
For example, Fujinon A 1200mm. I have seen two copies. One in midwest photo about 15 years ago, the other at my friend's collection....
I got one from China. I don't think it is available in the US yet. I think the optics are similar to the toys loupe I used to own. I don't have side by side comparison. I like the look better. ...
I saw this camera on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/274242820504
The bottom plate says Nagaoka woody since 1911.
This camera looks very similar to Philips, anyone knows the history?
Update, I bought some silicon based water seal from amazon, and applied to the crack, it works. The crack is small. I will just develop 8-9 sheets instead of 10 sheets each run, which is not a big...
My jobo 3010 has a small crack in the one of the chamber. It cause some leakage. What kind of water seal do you recommend?
Add a data point. 108XX in compur 1
I have it custom made by Chamonix. Let me see if I can find the photo.
edit: I found it here:...
I saw someone compare this one with Gitzo leveling base and I thought this might fit Gitzo 3 series. But when I called RRS, they told me that it won't fit.
I am searching for a good leveling base. Can someone tell me if "SERIES 3 TRIPOD LEVELING BASE | TA-3-LB" works on Gitzo 3 series tripods?
I was preparing for a shot tomorrow. And I decide to measure the weight:
The bag: F-stop Loka UL +Pro ICU + a small lens bag + Alpinist + 1X wooden film holder + 150 ssxl + center filter +...
95% chance I am shooting landscape. shooting vertical was not my concern. Use tripod without head is a bit difficult for me, certainly needs a lot of practice.
He said that side of the sidewalk is Rock center’s property.
wow, lots of good stories. A couple of weeks ago I was wandering around in the city, where I saw the heavily guarded Saks 5th ave store. I took this photo with my Chamonix Saber. When I came back...
Maybe using the Gitzo leveling base?
I don't use much movement, unless I need to put the camera into vertical position. However I prefer the double tilt over ball, as I can control the two directions separately.
Let me start with what I have now.
Camera: Chamonix Alpinist
Film holder: 3X Chamonix wooden film holder (not the light weigh one)
Film holder bag: Photobackpacker 3 film holders bag
Tripod...
On a side note, this experience made me appreciate the carbon fiber dark slides from Chamonix film holder more.
That is an interesting idea, I can give it a try. I have already ordered two replacement dark slides from Kumar.
It is cracked 204939204940
I have a broken dark slide, and looking for a spare one, but can not find any. Does the fidelity 810 dark slide work in toyo film holder?
I use copal 3 on 45N without problem. It might be how you mounted the lens on the board. Can you upload a photo?
The guard told me to set up tripod across the avenue (on the east side of the avenue), which is public. I don't know how to determine which sidewalk is public, which is private.
I have been taking some photos in the past a few weeks, when the street is quite empty. At a few places I was told that I can not set up tripod on the property, like in front of Vessel in Hudson...
I have one, it seems that there might be some adapter between the lens and the shutter. I could be wrong, but I remember asked bout it here long time ago. Can you post some photos?
Anyone knows which aperture scale fits the computar 210 f9?
H1 has become my go-to camera, F1 is my backup now. The only thing that I miss is the focus knob on F1, which only require one hand operation. It is slightly bulky than F1, but I put a 150 or 90nikon...
I recently bought the Nikon T* 600/800 lens set. When I receive the lens, I see that the front barrel has engraved Nikon 600mm and 800mm, but without 1200mm. I googled a few photos, and found some of...
150 super symmar XL
Here is the best part, it weights only 2570g with screen protector, and it is 2490g without screen protector. Also since it is horizontal only, the folded size is 355mmX270mmX97mm, it can be easily...

I am not sure if I want to take 58xl, however I usually take 110/210 or 80/150/300 combination but often times I find myself always take the wrong set....
My favorite is 110 and 210, but not sure if I should pack wider lens for landscape.
I am going to take a 2 weeks trips to Antarctica and Chile by Christmas time. I am thinking to bring a digital camera (5D3) and a 4X5 (Chamonix 45H1). The question is what lens should I bring with...
Issy, I think we have met in Adorama. Have you thought about a non-folder? Ever since I got my Chamonix 45-H1, I have put F1 in the storage. It is a bit bulky though. Do you still live in NYC? If so,...
