My 80 is 14992xxx and it's fine.
I own both of these lenses, purchased from Badger in 2007 - 2008 and have had no problems with either. When did you purchase yours?
Go ISO 100 1/8 sec @ f64 + 1/60 sec with the lens cap on. Spreadsheet won't help much here until you get a ND filter.
Bingo. You are double-profiling.
If you're considering coming upstate, I can do this with you on my 9800 in New Paltz, I can site Greg as a reference, and if you're using your own paper we can make it affordable.
Did you try boosting the exposure in FlexColor ( found in File->Setup: General Tab "Adaptive Light")?
On your side of the river you can hit the Appalachian Trail. Or come on over here to New Paltz where there is the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park.
If you're on a Mac you can use Preview which is part of OS X
Is that calculation for 4x5 or 8x10? David personally told me he used a 150.
The David Leventi was done with a 150 SSXL on 8x10
Do you see the sprocket hole marks on the film itself? I've seen similar marks on 35mm negatives scanned on an Epson flatbed (10000XL) when not using the negative masks (trying to make "contacts")...
Wish I could make it for the opening, congrats, you're in some good company there!
The bundled film settings for negatives (and they are settings or "Setups" in Flexcolor parlance, not profiles per se) in Flexcolor, at least the ones I've tried, suck so I've always created my own....
I think the Center for Photography at Woodstock on Tinker St. still has a darkroom for members' use. You should join even if they don't!

What paper are you using, and which black ink is in the printer, matte or photo? The Colorburst environment must match the installed ink, and you must make sure that you've selected the right setting...

This is my setup and it works fine. If your reels have the little "wings" there is no reason not to do 12 sheets in the tank, though the motor on my CPE2 seems a little weak with the big tank - I...
Gas stations :)
Why on earth are you sending a 1440 pixel per inch file to the printer! For that matter, how did you get that much resolution in the first place? Did you up-sample your scan?
The driver resamples...
Well my price structure certainly isn't like that, in fact the opposite. Every now and then it bites me though -- the larger the print, the greater the risk that I'll run into an imperfection in the...
The short, unequivocal answer is yes. And get the 3880 because the value of the ink it ships with is about the same as the difference in price over the 2880 (though you flush some ink in the initial...
Out of curiosity I've tried this with my Imacon, and either I screwed up or it just doesn't work. Ordinary profiling software, essential for transparencies and reflective scans won't help with color...

What Gem says. But if you could swing more $$ the Super Symmar 110 would really rock. Your work is really worth it, and it looks like your on your way with Humble Arts, Daniel Cooney et al.
Hi Bob,
Hard to think of my Betterlight as "instant" anything when the line time gets down to 1/8 second (= 25 minutes exposure). Hope you've got lots of light...
Drop a line if you get...
This is due to the way large sheet paper tends to curl at the edges. Try flattening it by rolling it up in the opposite direction (coating side out), and/or try increasing the platen gap so the head...
Now I'm just as confused as you. Apparently Epson has changed the part numbers, but not the inks. I looked at B&H's site and Atlex, and It looks like the 4880 cart should work in the 4000, so I think...
The 4880 cartridge will work in a 4800, but NOT in a 4000.
I make an iPhone snapshot and a voice memo.
You still need a 50mm lens because you haven't changed format at all - the sensor size is the same no matter what camera you use.
I've had the same problem with paper from B&H. Now I buy from:

Sorry I can't help, but holy S**t I never even noticed that the receptacles are there! What are they for? My sbc was inherited w/o instructions - heck who needs instructions for something so...
But not all printers, my 9800 will still require Rosetta for the time being...
Thanks Greg. I went up and saw the installation this afternoon, (curator) Brian Wallace did an awesome job. Hope to see you and anyone else from the area at the opening tomorrow night.
Also of...
Unless you need the larger scan area you should consider the V700 or V750 for less than one third the price, much faster, and better Dmax. I have the 10000XL and it works well, but it's sloooow....
