IT'S GONE
I have replaced the Aristo cold light source in my Omega D-2 enlarger. The old one--model W55--has been only lightly used in an amateur Black and White darkroom. It is a single tube,...
Just send me your address and I'll ship it to you. Regard it as a "pay it fosrward" arrangement: You do something for somebody else.

i BOUGHT THIS FILTER YEARS AGO AND USED IT ONCE--WITH PANALURE PAPER, I THINK, TO PRINT BLACK AND WHITE FROM A COLOR NEGATIVE. I NO LONGER HAVE ANY USE FOR IT, BUT HATE TO SEE IT GO TO WASTE. IF...
If anybody owns this lens, I had one, in a compur rimset shutter. All original in my PreAnniversary Speed Graphic, I think.
I had a ring adapter made for it so I could mount 52mm Nikon filters on...
Many thanks.

Is there anyone left out there who can produce a corrected copy negative from either:
1--A damaged 4X5 black and white negative. It has a pinhead sized hole in it, which I tried to blacken and...
I do both, exclusively. Will scan a negative sometimes to see the detail, if my proof sheets aren't adequate.

I have used this scanner for years on an older computer with Windows XP. I have recently had a new computer built for me, because I could not buy a new computer with XP-32bit. This was specifically...
I have this scanner, which I got as a pay-it-forward here. It is not fully functional but, I think, can be repaired. I'd like to pass it on to somebody who can use it and might know how to fix it...
First, thanks to Bill Bork. That was helpful.
And otherwise, I do apologize for the trouble I mighrt have caused; I was not aware of the size of the overlap. And indeed I did get different...
I have just purchased and am awaiting delivery of my first transmission densitometer--a Tobias TBX. All I know about it is that it comes with a power cord and will light up. I didn't pay a lot for...
Maris:
Your numbers are remarkably similar to Howard Bond's (cited elsewhere in this thread), for HP-5 Plus. You use them for FP-4 Plus, Right?
Warren
I have spent several days going over those entries, and the results vary all over the lot. There's a batch of information; it's just a matter of deciding what works for you, I guess.
tnx
What I'm beginning to find is that some people use systems other people abhor, and both seem to do ok. Sounds like a bit of personal preference. No?
Thanks;
That's the best answer I've gotten--and I've done a lot of asking.

Does anyone know of reliable reciprocity failure correction data for Ilford FP-4 Plus black and white film. There is receint (2003) data on HP-5 Plus from Howard Bond. Ilford's own data sheet,...
It's a compur-mounted rimset shutter.
Can anyone tell me what size filter will fit this lens? Or where I must start with a step-up ring adapter to use a larger modern screw-on filter? The lens was original, I think, with the...
I have a Beseler 4X4 lens mounting board which I have modified for use on a Omega D-2. I did this by hacking off a corner so it would fit on the Omega board. It has worked famously for years, but...
I Have Had For Some Years A Leedal Filterall Filter For Cold Water (to 110 Degrees F Only). Model 4440 C; Series F. Housing And Cartridge. It Has Never Been Used; Still In Original Carton.
I...
I have a batch of 4X5 boxes up for grabs. If anybody's interested, ask me PM. I'll ship domestically on a pay-it-forward basis (if you don't know what that is, Google it or ask me).
Warren
I don't know if you're still interested, but I've got 7 very decent 4X5 slotted graflex film holders. They are currently listed on eBay as "rare 4X5 slotted graflex film holders", but if they don't...
Thnks.

I've got an ugly but fully functional (light-tight bellows, working and reasonbly accurate focal plane shutter, straight tracks, etc.) PreAnniversary Speed Graphic. I've been using it as field...
I've kept some in the freezer comprtment of the refrigerator--sealed in plastic--with no ill effect.

Bob:
I've got a 4X4 Pre Anniversary speed graphic with a light-tight bellows, straight track and all that seems to do everything you want to do except, possibly, go all the way to 300. I've used...
Again, with apology for seeming stupid. But to be sure I don't make any wrong assumptions:
Does that mean that the dial can not be set between any of those slow speeds, as well as between the...
Sorry to seem persistent, but do slow speeds extend to those below 1/10 as well? And does the 1/10-1/15 exception extend there, too?
Warren
Sorry to seem persistent, but do slow speeds extend to those below 1/10 as well?
Warren
Is there an easy explanation for the [B]exception[B]between 1/10 and 1/25?
tnx

How well does black and white film do (I'm using FP-4) when exposed to the faint green glow of a darkroom timer? My old GraLab's got a raucous buzzer, but not being able to see it is frustrating....
I believe Ilford's tech sheets give you approsximates that are pretty good--at least as starting points.
Warren
Thank you. How do I reimburse the postage?
Warren
Wade:
Good to hear from you. I just ordered film in a 100-sheet box and need some smaller ones for sorting out exposed film prior to processing. If you can send me about half a dozen I will send...
Many thanks, but I'll pass on the international postage.
Merci,
Warren
Anybody looking to dispose of some empty 4X5 sheet film boxes--the three-box kind--that are still light-tight? Small size preferred--25-sheet or less. I'd be willing to take them off your hands and...
For what it's worth, I did get this reply from Ilford regarding extended indices for HP-5:
Essentially Tri-X and HP5+ share very similar characterstics in terms of exposure latitude both for ...
Is it true that HP-5 does not pull or push as well as Tri-X? I am particularly interested in the pull processing, since I customarily shoot my film at 1/2-to-2/3 of rated ASA.
Warren
Much good to chew on here. Many thanks
Warren
Mike:
Did you mean HP-4? or FP-4 or HP-5?
Or am I missing something?
