Re: Tachihara 4x5: pinholes in bellows

Yep. Newest Chamonix 4X5 batch is out in September for $820 if I am not mistaken. A quality used lens, including the one you purchased, can be for for $200-$250 max on Ebay. That's a far better...

  11. Re: Older Wooden 7X11 Back-What Camera is it For?

Thanks everyone. It comes with some Eastman/Kodak based tabbed holders along with an agfa one that fits into it perfectly.

  12. Older Wooden 7X11 Back-What Camera is it For?

Anyone have any idea what camera this was made for? It is basically 11X11 on the square part that fits in, and looks to be right about 11.5"X11.5" total. It is described as being an "adapting" back...

Re: I need a spot meter, what is recommended

Oh polaroid can be bought, but you have to fork out a cheap 8X10 used camera for a box of it off Fleabay;)

How are you calculating different focal lengths, equivalent to a piece of sheet film, and then transferring the settings?

What DSLR meters as well as your analog/digital light meters?

  18. Cropping photos/negatives to Preferred Ratios

I know many choose different format sizes below 8X10 and crop the negative to a size of preference or one that simply looks better than the native size. I have seen a lot of 4X5 work cropped.
