    Re: Kodak price increase

Personally, I've taken well to the "Shoot less, make every shot count" model. Don't waste time on something unless you really like it, or know it will be worthy of a print one day.
    I've found that...

Don't water your fans with mounting fluid(or any fluid) :p

In all seriousness, yes, having some ventilation is recommended. Either into a larger "atmosphere", or, ideally, outside. If you can...

    Re: 7x17 film sleeves

I've found that using buffered paper sleeves like Michael Smith(RIP) and Paula Chamlee use works better for me. Maybe not as cheap as plastic, but the file-folder style still protects the negative...
  6. Re: field processing and contact printing wet negs?

I used to use PhotoFlo then I just found that a 1-2min soak in straight distilled water basically did the same thing, and it was one less bit of chemistry I needed to buy/mix/maintain. But that's me.

Re: New (to me) MF Digital

Jim, are you tethering with the P45+ or shooting to a CF card? The P+ backs work great when tethered, but I always found them more difficult to work with in the field when going untethered. The IQ...
  8. Re: field processing and contact printing wet negs?

Wet emulsions are more prone to damage. Best to be kept dry once processed. Dry surface to wet surface, somethings eventually going to peel away. No bueno.
Drip dry negs, they can be re-washed and...
  9. Re: Harrison Jumbo Film Changing Tent - Sticky

A cotton pillow case works well for storing a tent, LOOSELY inside, if you cannot hang it up in a closet or behind a door.
