Hi,
I have been asked to make a WillTravel 8x10, and need to find the needed lens data.
Anyone who has information / link on the flange focal distance for the Wollensak Ex. WA 159mm f12.5?

Since Tin Can and Lassethomas already have mentioned the WillTravel cameras (4x5, 5x7, 4x10 and 8x10) and the development spool, heres my Polaroid 110/120 and now 800 conversion if you have a 3d...
Hi,
I have a guy which are looking to use said lens (Goerz Wide angle Dagor of 3 5/8” focus or 92.1mm f8) on one of 3d printed WillTravel 4x5 camera. As the camera body is rigid we need to...

Hi,
Just posted instructions on how to print and assemble the WillTravel4x5-90mm camera.
Use at own risk, feedback and ideas for improvements would be much appricated. :)
Very Cool! Good job!
I did a similar project for several enlargeres using single LEDs and RGBW LEDs, will look into using a matrix as well. If you have time, there are some info, code and...
My absolute reference is View Camera Technique by Leslie Stroebel.
Thank you, due warning added on Thingiverse, regarding the 2reel tank and the potential problem. Given the relatively high cost and time spent on getting to the point where I have negatives to...
Thank you for sharing your experience! Particularly as it not was to your satisfaction! Will use your feedback to learn and see how I might improve the design.
Your issues:
1. I'm painfully aware...
Progress! :cool:why don't we all process sheet film in trays? Or deep tanks? Etc.. personally I don't like either the mod54 and similar Jobo reel, nor the taco rubber band methods. Your mileage and...
Yes, quite right
Given that this method and the taco metod, curls the film emulsion side in, any scratches in the emulsion are most likely from manhandling the film sheets and not so much due...
Thanks! It's a fairly smooth design, however you are quite right, I would recommend a light wet sanding of the film slots before the first usage to smooth away any 3d print "toothy" artifacts and...
Insert is 130mm tall (just a bit over 5") and the spacer is 15mm, thus the entire stack is 160mm tall.
Insert with 82mm OD. Given that the insert is buoyant a spacer is used on top, and in the bottom to improve flow and ensure that the film sheets are submerged in the developer. The insert and 2x...

Seems like a 4 slot insert is possible for 85mm diameter tank!
Sounds like a 4 sheet insert could be made. Will look at it in the week(end), you would have to have it printed and do the testing
1. Yes, initial experiments indicate that the flow is suffient on both side of the actual insert. If not the volume of each slot is just over 100ml. I fill the tanks to the brim for oneshot black and...
Yes, and Yes :-.)
Whats the radius of the generic ss tank? This one is based on a radius of 48mm
Look carefully, and you will find that there is one 4x5 solution for the 2 reel tank also, yet to find a 5x7 solution for the 2 reel tank :-)
The only math I have done so far, was to calculate how much volume is required for Xtol 1+1 development, and for 5 sheets 4x5 thats 500ml total (50ml stock Xtol pr 4x5 sheet). When I tested it, I was...
Experiments with 3d printed 4x5 and 5x7 sheet film inserts for the Paterson development tanks. Single slot for each sheet of film, similar to the method used on the Jobo Expert drums, but folded as...
Yes, will include that in the final version, currently the "negative holder" is just a picture frame with single glass, was expecting newton rings, but none so far. (Now they will show up later...

Two circuits for the green and blue LEDs, given the voltage for each LED. For the Red LEDS I did put 9 in series, (voltage over the Red LEDs are less than for the Green & Blue)...
Will post pictures of the LED and circuit diagram later today. This is the design which gave me the idea that a 8x10 extension could be possible....
Consider this an engineering mock-up  hopefully the finished version will be more polished and simple looking on the outside.

Top of durst 138 after the top of the colour head is removed. this is where the light mixing boxes normally sist.. will just act as stiff "metall bellows" when in 8x10 configuration :-)

Did the images get there?
First image is the current set up, second image is the complete colour head where I removed the top part.. will post image of the light opening..
Playing around with the basically free 8X10 modification to my Durst 138! This enlarger came with a colour head, and when I last used it the fuses popped and the colour head had this interesting...
I agree that is the aim, and where I hope to be most of the time, but as said this was in the interest of "reference" for a new experimental VC head. And the results somewhat made me wonder. In...
Well, lets rename this from "test" to "reference" :-) the basic idea was to have some comparisons prints from a (assumed) established system vs the new experiment system.
- no I did not verify that...

Thank you for the information. The enlarger spent its first 30+ years as a workhorse in the major professional lab here in Norway, before they shut down. Thus it might have seen a...
Hi,
I have a Durst 138 with the cls301 colorhead, the enlarger are from the mid 70's.
Today I printed some samples at various grades to use for testing a diy LED head on a Focomat 2c, work in...
Thanks for all good advice!
I'm currently suspecting the cable release cable, the one I had with me on the hike has very short threads. Tested with one of my other cable releaes and it was OK....
Thanks! Found them!.. However seems to be a bit on the expensive side, lets wait and see.
Hi,
I just discovered that the threads in the mounting the cable release on one of my lenses was damaged. Given that that this is just mounted with two smal screws it should be easy to replace IF...
Hi
Which Linhof multifocus viewfinder is best for use with Grafmatics? I have tried one old (Black) and are fairly hapy with that, the newer versions seems to have the optical view axis a bit low...
Thanks for the input! Several options to consider....
In my first try I did not get the Lee system to fit, it came stuck or in conflict with the camera bed. However after I tried today, it works...
