Log E printers used a CRT to scan a 9x9" neg and vary exposure according to the density. Been around since the late 60's
Used to use 99% isopropyl alcohol instead of a wetting agent, it displaces all the water in the film and dries immediately. Stop bath just halts the development process faster, water is fine.
The miller holwarth was a 9x18" format. Morse printers were usually a 9x9 format. Both used little round frosted 7 watt incandescent bulbs.

the dryer may be ferrotype (?) plate. If it's smooth and shiny. Used for drying glossy paper (not RC) face down on the shiny surface. Gave a very high gloss when done properly. Have not seen one...
