You mention that you used the Toyo hood/reflex viewer on your 4x5. Then why not adapt the Toyo 8x10 reflex viewer for your Deardorff? Should be easy enough to adapt.
I know they're out there as I...

I did a quick unmounted "against the wall' check for focal length. I'd estimate at 16 to 17 inches at infinity
and lens diameter at roughly 2 1/2 or a bit over. So, I guess somewhere in the f 6 or...
In regard to "valuation" I was feeling for whether it was worth keeping or unloading---you know, run of the mill or something a bit more unique. I have several Lerebours et Secretan lenses and...
Can someone ID this brass Voigtlander & Sohn. Marked with a "C" Serial 22089 ?
Identify and any idea of value. Looking to move it.

I'll toss in my 2 cents. Having had numerous Deardorffs over the years from a Baby, several V-5s including one of those beautiful Spanish Cedar models, and maybe half a dozen V-8s, it's obvious that...
I have a couple of the X3200s that I've had for years and you can get far more light than F11. I assumed when I bought them I'd need far more power for large format (I was just starting to shoot...
How about just buying another DD back? Yes, they are hard to find for a 4x5/5x7 BUT just buy a 8x10 to 5x7 reduction back instead. The reduction back is simply a 5x7 back that will fit a V 5 mounted...
I just bought a lot (box full) of 17 clean 8x10 Fidelity film holders. Along with those were 4 Broncolor Pulso 4 power packs (not in that same box). No cables or heads but was told they worked fine...
Grant, pm me with a shipping address so I can get a shipping quote. My offer stands--you pay the shipping and it's yours.
I'll never use it and it might as well go to someone who will.
Joseph Burke...
I have a D5500 CLS head and controller--and the rest. You pay the shipping and it's yours.
Bought it off the bay years ago and never used it. I have a De Vere 5108 instead that I actually use.
PM...
"Those are some very dangerous looking legs!"--you spoke my mind before I could get it typed out.
Does this mean that the original poster has either of the two, V-11 or the 16x20, available to him or her? The V-11's aren't too common and I have no idea on the 16x20.

Terrific work, Ben! Not only is your model in this series rather uniquely beautiful but your own obvious technical ability is astounding. ...
I have the 125 mm Fuji--if I had only one lens choice for 4x5 then the Fuji 125 mm would be that #1. I also prefer my 60 mm on my Hassy over the 80--so I obviously prefer a tad wider than normal.
Scott, I sent u a pm with a quite interesting opportunity.

Polly Chandler is testing/using some of the New55. An image or two using the New55 film on her FB page.
Wow! That's a real beauty!
For the original poster, I think I would just find a Chrome rim 210 5,6 Symmar like Peter Gowland used in a Compur shutter, mount it, and do a similar test. That should do the trick.
For what it's worth I wondered how exact the focus was calibrated (by Peter Gowland) was/is on my early 4x5 Gowlandflex. Since you can focus on both the top GG and the GG at the film plane they...
I have the same Gowlandflex TLR and 210 lens combo. This is the earlier version. You can simply remove that panel/lens board holding the twin lens assembly. My viewing lens is a 210 Xenar like yours...
Probably not too many owners of such a highly sought lens but I also do happen to have one. I'd be interested in seeing the pics.
I have a nice Fuji 680 sitting here on the shelf.........
Gowlandflex? You want one...I have a pair....I don't need two. Serial #508 or similar IIRC..... One of the earlier TLR's with the rotating back. 210 mm lenses (Symmar conv.)
Sevo, this is not using Walmart's own in-store film service, which is pretty much non-existent since digital printing is about all that is now offered. I'm referring to their send out service which...
I have one, if not two, just like it.
I used to have a Deardorff V-5, as well as a V-8. A V-11 too, but still have that one. But my desire for a more rigid metal folder led me, over time, to a Linhof MT. Wow, no comparison.....I just...
The reason I choose Walmart for that random roll of 120 or 220 is that there are no local labs that develop 120/220 film anymore. I have a Jobo and have processed both C-41 and E-6 process roll films...
This is just an FYI
I was going to send out a roll of 220 C-41 film yesterday and noticed that the new envelopes at Walmart make reference to film negatives no longer being returned to the...
Regarding the 250 6,7 Fuji....that is my preferred--my second being my 210 Fuji--for mild/moderate wides and general use
Frank, I saw the FB version and was immediately drawn to it. Now that I see it in larger form, well, it's all the more exceptional!
Stunning image!
I have a head and controller for a D5500... you pay shipping and it's yours!!
Wow! Some great work here already...
Impressive as usual, Alex.
Bracan very nice!
..and Luke, I love this one!

David is correct! Missing a pin but what the heck --you can improvise! I tough item to locate by itself.
"Take the glass out and wash it in water and dish washing soap, rinse, dry, and install."
+1 This is the way I've always cleaned mine too.
Wow! She's a beauty. I have the same model/head combo...less the wood color, of course. I guess I could always stain it for a similar look!
"He did not know what Tri-X was"....is this a sign of the times?
Re: Weirton Steel. Wow! I could look at images like these all day ! Excellent!

I have a Linhof type board drilled for a Seiko.....it wasn't the same as my Copal spec boards...long ago sold the lens but I still have the board.. pm me!
Some terrific images!
