    Old 4x5 sheet film donations?

    doug,

to be honest, I've never wasted a sheet of lf film. When I first started LF photography last year, I loaded my first five two-sided holders and didn't spoil a single sheet. Just go through...

Am I crazy to try this?

    Conrad,

How good was the resolution of the lens after you recemented using the mechanical centering method? I'm thinking about using this same method on an old rolleiflex TLR I have.
  3. homemade gelatin printing on glass using alternative processes.

I'm fairly interested in doing either cyanotypes or kallitypes on glass.

Unfortunately, neither of these processes have any inherent adhesion to glass, d o they? My initial reaction is no.

  4. What do you think the next real revolution in photography?

Honestly, I would like the next big thing in photography to be vast improvements in the printing process - materials and chemicals that yield blacks far more light-absorbent than anything invented...

    Sinar or not Sinar...

    Hi Ellis,

I have looked at the prices for new F1's and F2's. They are expensive also. However, not everyone who has a fledgling interest in large format is naive (or rich :) enough to invest in...

  17. Loaded Sheet Film and Airport Carry On X-Ray Machines

There's no physical reason why x-rays would "bounce" off metal and somehow cause more x-ray exposure to film in film holders.

It's just not how x-rays work.

There's already an article on this...
