Might be helpful for you to have a little more information regarding Kirk's suggestion. The book by Fred Picker is probably out of print (6th printing 1977). But you could probably find one in a...
Take a look at this link: http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_prod.php?pid=1553 . I've used the Combi T tank for a number of years with great success leaving years of tray development and scratched...
Very good answers - but - How do you take a spotmeter reading when you can't see the one degree circle?
Frank, I've found that in most cases, I do not feel the need for precise weighing of chemicals so I use a chart that has equavalent weight-volume conversion information. If you are interested, let...
I am very pleased with Arista.EDU ASA 400 using HC110 dil. H. BTW, this film is Foma from Checkoslovacia. I use it at the full ASA rating of 400 where as I previously use Tri-X at ASA 325.
BTZS focussing hood cracks on cold winter days; Blackjacket will avoid this problem.
I have a "Wash Off Relief" three-color dye tranfer print that is still in excellent conditon (no fading, color rendering stable) that was made in 1936.
Get a head and screw it to the top of the ladder.

I use laundry bleach to get rid of the algae ( and other gunk), drain the tank and use some CLR to get the lime deposits off (and a light scrub pad).
As an old WD-400 man (it'l fix anything!), just spray a little on and let it SOAK. Eventually, it will capillary into the thread and loosen it. Have patience.

Are you referring to the PHILLIPS-head screws (i.e., the ones that hinge the back)?
If so, just tighten...

Tape the edges of the two (i.e., the negative and the mask) with 3M Scotch Brand No. 850 1/4" Mylar tape. If you have a cold light head, you won't need a glass carrier. If so, just put the taped...

Try Renaissance micro-crystal wax polish (use by the British Museum restoration specialists).
After running the gamut of processes mentioned, I have settled on a good quality paint brush to thoroghly clean my holders before loading. Seems to work for me. I should have listened to Fred...
Just got back photographing Native American Pictographs using OrthoPlus to better render the typical 1-stop spread found with meter readings. Tests showed this should work. As soon as I develop...
One possibility is that your lens does not cover your negative size. However, even with lenses providing proper coverage, there is alway fall-off. This why you always

The latter. Make sure you buy quality film holders.
Yo! I'm here.
Eugene - Tried Freestyle and Sammy's - nothing, so went to B&H
Eugene - Took your advice and purchased PQ Universal. However, I did not find it "readily" available in Southern California - so, have ordered from B&H. Perhap someone can point me to a more local...
Regarding the PQ Universal/HC110 post. Perhaps I should be considering Dektol?
I plan to use Ilford Ortho Plus for some images that are are very low contrast (e.g., Native American pictographs). For the contrast gradient that I've selected, Ilford reccomends PQ Universal. ...
