I just sent a bellows to them this week. I'll let you know how long it takes ;)

I have a feeling a cheap lightweight 20x24 camera for wet plate camera work doesn't exist... as much as we would all like it to :(
It's an interesting enough camera, but the execution (craftsmanship) leaves something to be desired in my opinion.
The only other cameras I've seen in this vein are here :...
Highly recommended here as well. The 3880 does not take roll paper, but I don't need it to, so that's fine. It's also awesome that ink is half the cost by mL than the 2880.
I use it to scan 35mm slides sequentially. You set up all of the frames individually, then select batch scanning from the top menu. There's even a "find frames" function where it tries to find them...
I used to use CSx (2, 3, 5) a lot, but the majority of my digital editing is now done in Lightroom, with some brush-based work done in photoshop.
I also made an 8x10 out of foam core, used a rack n' pinion lens on it...
Cheap cheap cheap! (and fast to make!)

I'll second the Jon Grepstad recommendation, though I made some modifications to his design (and would make further mods / undo some of mine if I made another)
I believe the book has plans for a...
I found a compound shutter in a junk shop a while ago and didn't think much of it until recently - I've measured it with the size list on this forum, and it appears to be the longer tubed of the two...
I have a book that talks about making ice lenses - "Primitive Photography"

I recently found what appears to be a print developing tank for 20x24" prints at a local thrift store - it has two removable caps as well as a trough that goes down the middle - it looks like you...
I sure am tempted to, but I'm currently focusing on a smaller setup. I picked up a whole plate Empire State from the classified forum that I've been working on, just shot my first plates on that...
I also have a DRP 124934 - A 420mm, SN 110649. Too bad I don't have a camera big enough for it :(.

This is a Voigtlander 42cm heliar that I have - the glass is fairly clean, but I notice this strange pattern when looking at the front element in the glare of a light. It doesn't appear to be on the...
It's a "nice one."
I'm no expert on camera history, but design-wise it looks like it falls between the all-wood wet plate cameras of the mid 1800's and the more packable view cameras of the...
As Walter said, you can use just about any large format lens - if you want to stay "original" there are a lot of people still using/buying/selling the older glass. There have been a number of "big"...
Voigtlander Bessa II w/ Color Heliar for $40
Wurlitzer Electric Piano (200A) for $2

The tooltips and manual for my 3880 state that you should send files at 360dpi (native).
Checking the box for finest detail in the driver us it to 720dpi....

I believe it's leopardwood, but there seems to be a lack of consensus on what to call it. The orange and purple woods are padauk of various ages, the recessed part of the lensboard is maple, the...
I'm a photographer in central PA; I now work for Penn State as a videographer, which is pushing me more towards spending photo time "in the real world." I have some experience shooting wet plate, I...
