I may have a chance to get an old Aztec Plateau flatbed scanner 10-15 years old. Would you go with the old Aztec or buy and new Epson V850? I'll be scanning 8x10 wet plates...The Aztec probably did...
Hi. Do any of you scan 8x10 aluminum wet plates on the V850. Basically, using the scanner as a flat bed, what scanning specs do you use?
Thanks Gents!
Has anyone used or know where to get a wet plate film holder for the Deardorff V8 that is thick enough to accommodate glass and not mess up the focal plane? Thanks. Joe.

Do you recommend the Epson 850 or something else dedicated to wet plates and flat art---no transparencies or negatives..... Thanks.
