    Re: www.modernenlargerlamps.com

Sorry about the website being down. I finally upgraded the server to Mac OS X Yosemite and had to figure out how to restart the web hosting application. Should be up and running now.

    Here is an...

Thanks, Eric. It was a real pleasure to work with you too.
  4. Re: Customized 8x10 Codelite LED Head for Variable Contrast

I have available on my website an LED VC enlarger head for the Omega D series 4x5 enlargers. It works very well and users, some of whom post on this forum, have been very pleased with it.

Re: Led light for contact printing

The problem with LED's is that commonly available, high-brightness units do not put out much light in the UV range where Lodima is most sensitive. High-brightness UV LED's are available but they are...

Re: Led light for contact printing

Lodima seems to require UV or near UV light. It is very insensitive to most visible light, much like Kodak AZO. Completely different than Fomalux.

Re: Led light for contact printing

I have built a custom, high output, blue LED 4x5 lamp for enlarging on to Fomalux silver chloride paper. The exposure times needed were comparable to those typical of standard enlarging paper. The...

    Re: led Lights for enlarger

One of my Omega LED diffusion enlarger heads (Model 2 or Model 3) may work if you simply set it on top of the upper bellows of your Beseler enlarger. You would need to cut a piece of cardboard to...

Re: New Variable Contrast B/W Lamp House

No, because of the foam light seal at the bottom. If I were to make a 5x7 universal head, it would be much shallower and thus more efficient with light. Same with an 8x10 box. Some experimentation...

No Beseler models are planned now, but maybe in the future.

The phone app could support tenths of a second if that is what is wanted. A color head is beyond my...

New Variable Contrast B/W Lamp House

This is a demo video of a new LED based variable contrast lamp house I'm building for the Omega D series enlargers. The final product will be very similar to my Model 2 lamp house. I am interested...
  18. Re: New LED Diffusion Lamp House for Omega D Enlargers

White LED's are just blue LED's with added phosphors to secondarily emit the longer wavelengths. The phosphors are less than 100% efficient so the white LED's generally produce less light than their...
  19. Re: New LED Diffusion Lamp House for Omega D Enlargers

This is a follow-up to my last post. I ran some test prints tonight using my Omega diffusion housing with four Cree XP-E Royal Blue (450nM) LED's driven at 900 mA. Scans of the prints are attached....

  22. Re: New LED Diffusion Lamp House for Omega D Enlargers

By universal do you mean like what I have now but without the vertical arms attaching it to the enlarger? You would have to lift it with your hands.
  23. Re: New LED Diffusion Lamp House for Omega D Enlargers
