Hi Ben-
I've only just now come in on this, but since I'm the one who sold you the camera and I'm the one who installed the Maxwell, all I can say is it was installed according to Bill's...
I concur with these and add this suggestion: I would not list my street address for ALL the world to see. City only. If someone wants to contact you, let it be by phone or email.
Just my 2...
I just bought CS2 six weeks before debut of CS3 thinking I was close enough to get a free upgrade, but they're still knicking me the full $200. Arrgh!
The 24-TSE is approx $1100 new. How do you guys buy 2 and send the other one back without paying a restocking fee (of around $150)?
Will take $175 including UPS
First $200+$25 shipping takes it. Paypal only.
Oh shoot--one of you sent me a direct email about this and I accidently deleted it. Please send it again and I will respond.
Sure. I'm a reasonable guy. Make me a reasonable offer.
I'm not selling this because it's junk, but because I no longer have a darkroom. I purchased it in 2000 and used it for tempered film (12...
Well, I can see it must be worthless so in the dumpster it goes.

New D250 is $545+ Filters $135 =$680+shipping.
Unused for 4 years, but worked very well when I had a darkroom. Includes hot and cold filters. $400 includes shipping within the 48 states. Paypal.
Well, it makes me glad we decided never to have children.
...and no, it's not "photography"--it's photographIC.
I have a DMC-LX1 and it has three problems: (1) Noise at anything above iso 100 and (2), body thickness--the ring around the lens protrudes, adding to overall body thickness more than most. Still...
Situation:
No darkroom, or you just want to skip the darkroom/chemistry process but still have a quality neg for scanning.
Question:
After exposure, can you remove the packet for LATER...
Six months ago I got their quote to buy my Contax T3. I shipped it and within a week got a check for 10% MORE than the quote. I have purchased several items from them over the years and have usually...

Question I have is SELLING to KEH. Their first question is- Has this item ever been used professionally? As though they're going to mark it lower if so. An item should be priced according to its...
I'm relieved to see that his "deeply held religious beliefs" don't get in the way of his questionable business practices.
This goes hand-in-glove with the "Does the world need another aspen tree photo?". It's all been done before and I want my shot to look different. Manipulation is the only thing left (ouch!). It's my...
I submit we take far greater health risks hanging off the edge of cliffs than in the darkroom.
Long as you're experimenting, I suggest EPY. It's for tungsten also but very fine grain and low contrast. Some day I'll get around to trying it for landscapes with an 85b. Should be good for scanning.
"For me, there's very little emotional difference between listening and performing."
Right on, John. Music draws me as a listener intellectually and emotionally into it's own center of...
Congratulations! Well researched and presented. Looking forward to your next issue...
Harley:
Please elaborate on file size and type and printer if you would. I'm not sold that 1620s are realistic with these dslrs. Thanks.
BTW, is there a website that allows downloads for...
I just donated my color enlarger to a community college that is starting a color printing class(!) this Fall. Yeah, surprised me, too.
I'm curious...if you are one who uses a pseudonym (or initials or 1st name only) on this forum, why don't you use your real full name? To me you lose cred --as if you have something to hide, IMHO.
...or for wealthy dorkiness:

...on second thought, maybe they work really well.
Boy, does this news hit home. . .
In June I donated my L1200/501 to a college photo dept. as I have moved and decided not to build another darkroom--a difficult decision. I have, over the years,...
Too bad it's PC only.
To put put it more to the point, would shooting color neg and scanning on a 4990 produce a scan with more tonal range than shooting chrome?
I've seen references suggesting one of the shortcomings of consumer-level flatbed scanners is their inability to dig out shadow detail from transparencies (compared to drum scanners). Conversely,...
"i shoot mainly color neg and i occasionaly like to warm up my pictures with an 81a or more."
I just do the warming when I make the print & forget the 81a.
I can't top this, but I do admit to planting my Arca B1/Technikardan on an unmodified 1228, purchased because it fit inside my carry-on bag readily. Excellent tripod. I agree "does not vibrate at...
Thank you everyone for your generous informative replies. Looks like I will be changing plans and probably go with having some drum scans made. It's just hard to find labs that will and are good at...
OK. I have been shooting color neg and making some pretty good display prints from 4x5 for 40 years +. IOW, I know how to make a very good C-print using the best pro equipment.
My question is,...
I'm talking about for home (Jobo) use, not a commercial lab.
I just ran across this:
http://www.ephotozine.com/techniques/viewtechnique.cfm?recid=145
which talks about using separate bleach and fix for C-41 process. Can anyone more light on this? I've...
Thanks Ken--just what I was looking for.
Many years ago I saw a method for aligning the print within the frame. You place the print in the upper left corner and extend a diagonal thru it to the right edge of the frame. But from there I get...
