I’ve recently returned to this project, and have started a redesign of some of the more problematic aspects of the design- rear tilt...
Beautifully done...
The project looks great, and I thought the video was very entertaining, although you did cast the older guy with the beard as the large format guy-
Still, older is probably relative...
Good...
An apolitical photograph is a worthless photograph, after all. Unless it's art. In which case, it's inherently worthless. Or, useless (after Oscar Wilde...)
Those who are easily offended should...
I haven't read the next page, but I'd just like to mention that I am Sparatcus, too.
Gudmundur, a frank exchange of views represents a time gone by- when the site was vital. Perhaps we are the...
Howaya...
He had a vision, pursued it, and made it happen. I'm sure he is not in the least concerned with the mean spirited comments from this parish. Whether or not it has a working bail back that takes the...

Freda, 82 next week. You didn't hear that from me...
Like you, I pledged my $75 and am still waiting for my reward. However, I have no problem waiting for my fulfilment. I understood that the risks were great, and that I was backing a project who’s...
My New 55 hasn't arrived yet, I suppose I have to wait until it's my turn...
With the old 55, which I'm still using, you have 3 options for using it in the field.
You can save the print only,...

Lots of lovely work in August...
Me too. Always loved that phrase.
While I'm here, congratulations on your project having achieved the 'lumière du jour'
Well done. Never doubted you for a minute...
Just find a place to make your stand, and ...
Pictures look great, shame I can't get out west this year...
Currently a car park for Toys are Us. I've parked there, buying Nerf Guns for the nephews; there's really nothing to see there anymore. On old map of London shows a row of buildings on that site,...
I have a 36" f/6.3 Air Ministry lens, though there is no maker's mark. It's a lot heavier than 5kg.
I wrote a little about it here.
It doesn't bother me, since the internet is infinite and my scrolling finger is hardly over-exercised.
It's particularly useful when referencing an image on an earlier page, since each page...
Very nice- Arca Swiss is a really good platform for an extension.
Have you taken it down the new Wookey Hole yet?
I've only been to Cheddar Gorge once, a memorable spot...
9.5" x 12" might be a little more economical-

BTW- I have tried the Gimp too- and it simply doesn't work on a mac, if you're someone who likes to use all the features. Life is just too short to try to learn the absolutely non-intuitive...
I bought it and first impressions are very favourable. My system- I’m running a 2011 MBP with 16gb of RAM, hooked up to an external monitor. You can set the amount of RAM available to the program in...
That's Half Plate size- 6 ½" x 4 ¾", or 12 x 16.5cm. I could use some of that, I've got the right holders...

Sandwich, Cape Cod, MA. First Church of Christ.
Some of you might have a picture of it already-

I've just shot some 4x5, and I don't have an enlarger so I would find it difficult to produce a wet print without a digitally produced internegative. Really, do we have to penalize large format...
I'd quite like central air ...
Well done, and well done on becoming a featured kickstarter project. They emailed me today to say that you were one of their favorite projects; I hope the additional exposure works out well for you-
It looks like a copy stand to me, with a backlit base. I don't think it will be too long before the outrigger lamps appear...
I don't think it's correct to call it a scanner, since it looks like...
'Launch' might be too strong a word...
I'm working on making the prototype, then it will have to be tested. As soon as it looks like it works reliably, then I'll be inviting others to test it, and...
Thank you Jim, appreciate the words of a master maker-
got to aim towards your bigger size cameras soon-
Nice looking camera Joe, and great pictures from it-
As a child, I remember being in a family picture taken on one of these in Majorca in 1972-
I remember the photographer attaching a logo to...
There are no scales on the camera, there is no need to read off a scale to determine the spread between near and far focus.
You are free to ignore the distance between near and far, if wide open...
That's great...
Thanks again, Drew and Kirk, and OnF, of course--
Just a few points-
I'm a little surprised that I haven't been challenged on any 'factual' representations on the website. I was sure there...
Thank you all so much for the encouragement. It really helps, makes it seem as if it's in some way worthwhile.
It will fold up like the original prototype- this picture is on the Design Goals page, there are more pictures there too-

Thanks Drew. Sorry if you haven't found everything, but the only movement the camera is missing is rear rise and fall. I can't comment on your other claims.
Thank you Colin, that means a lot to me-
The rendering is of the next prototype, the C812, hopefully there will be some progress, and I'll have something to photograph shortly.
It does look...
Thank you-
Yes, I should follow stricter rules with the typography. I'm not a website designer, it's just an additional trade to add to the 11 trades necessary to be a camera maker, that Gandolfi...
Thank you to all who commented- I wasn't sure how this was going to be received, since there were quite a few new things all going on in one place here.
Thanks for your detailed response- I...
