Thanks, I was guessing Velvia from the richness of the colours and yes tungsten incandescent lights do seem good at adding warmth to any photos, film or digital.

Thanks Joanne,
The last email chasing up was sent on 2nd Nov to postmaster at lf-photo dot org dot uk (hopefully the spambots won't pick that up!) the address that autofilled in my email when I...
Oh well at least it isn't anything personal then! No great loss with this place to frequent and the fadu (film and darkroom user) UK forum (and probably lots better on my wallet that all the large...
First LF forum I found, lots of great information, helpful people and fantastic photography with no real indication it was a US focused site (and after coming back to it am still waiting for the UK...
As tbeaman says fantastic colour in great pictures. What film have you used?
Pity you are half a world away, would have been perfect for my 10 year old photography mad daughter with a computer almost as old as she is!
Yep, have posted over there (I'm STalbot1 for reasons that escape me over there!) Still check in and read it though don't really post very often
Yep their prices have gone up lots since I bought from them (plus my £s buy much less $ than then!). Kiev prices have certainly gone up lots in Western Europe over the last few years as well.
I keep...
Great to hear that Diskworld has found it's way to Russia!
Yep my Kiev 60 is a great reliable camera, I need to service it at the moment but once I've had time to do that it will be good for many more years! I seem to remember mine cost around $250 from...
Yep, it seems Kiev prices have held up better than almost all the other MF brands. Have just been looking for a 645 camera. When I bought the Kiev 60 it was easily the cheapest 6x6 SLR by a long way...
Good to find another Kievaholic here and thanks for the fantasic Kiev Report! Must get round to taking the Kiev 60 (finger trouble calling it a 66 above!) to bits and sort out the frame spacing now...
Excellent, I'm a big fan of Soviet cameras, from the tiny Kiev 35, by way of Zenit EM and Kiev 66 to a 9x12 Fotokor. Hope to see you all in Moscow sometime!
Sounds good, not sure what the weekend holds yet but may well come along
My CPE came with a 4312 tank which takes 2 reels 35mm and the pic on the box shows it with a 4530 (what I've bought to go with it) which takes 5x4 from what I can see written on it in the box picture...
Picked up a Jobo CPE for £50 (would have liked a CPE2 with bottle warming stuff but they seem to go for way more so CPE is next best and wil fin in my darkroom corner) with a tank for MF and a...
And don't forget the Parcel Force/DHL/UPS etc ransom fee once they have paid the tax on you behalf, can easily add a few more percent!
Yep they all look to gone up quite a bit over the last 3 years or so engl. I know when I was searching I looked at all those you mention and as it is a camera that gets carted about to some less than...
Yep, I've been looking around on ebay for bits I could put together into an LF pinhole camera with and was somewhat stunned by the price of MPPs. Bought mine on there about 3 1/2 years ago, working...
Cool, I'm seriously thinking about of these as a dedicated pinhole camera. Just need to decide if I need the 5x4 or 10x8 variant!
Think the red one was a marketing tweak to make them more attractive studio cameras
Thanks all, new changing bag arrived today, film got here last Wed so think I'll go for a play tomorrow!
Got some dark slides now but still no film, of course the half of the order that turned up yesterday was the half I'd ordered for a friend so we could save a couple of quid each on postage:(
Still...
Not quite on the "dark slide" yet, waiting for a few to show up from ebay and some film from 7dayshop.com, in the meantime I really must dig out my changing bag!
Hi all,
Just starting out with LF having treated myself to an MPP Microtechnical MK VII. I expect I can make all sorts of photographic messes with all those camera movements to play with!!!!
