Colin, some great texture there and a really nice sense of light
Hector,
que bonita, me gusta mucho los movimientos de los flores
Ramiro,
It was commissioned by an NGO who work with the Quechua. I spent roughly 3 months there splitting my time between two Quechua villages and a small town where the NGO had their headquarters....

Whole plate
Wow, both very strong
damn fine work
Yes, it's being cut down to whole plate size in order to fit the plate holders
Never thought that cutting it down would lead to so many scratches!
Jim, I hate the stuff, have yet to get a negative that's not scratched and haven't been able to get a single printable neg. Developing the sheets one at a time in a smooth bottomed 11x14 tray with...
Bob, glad I could help, I like slower films personally. Sometime about long exposures is lovely to me.
The positive paper-it is a bit finicky and has a considerable amount of contrast when...

Whole plate, X-ray film, lots of scratches
The Efke 25 is pretty good in my experience and you can certainly get some nicely blurred water with it. The emulsion is mildly soft; some people have problems with scratched film. I've never had a...
Agree, that's a nicely executed portrait, lots of "human" in it...more than just a photo of a person
Thanks Barry, that particular camera is 129 years old and worked flawlessly in the rough weather. My digital SLR, on the other hand, was rapidly dying in the snow and cold...plus trying to press all...

Thanks John, I'll keep that in mind next time I go to shoot
much appreciated
I agree exposure is way off, just getting the hang of this, but still happy I got something
It was a dry plate...I guess it's similar to the rockaloid? I'm using the rockland positive developer...
Shot my first tintype today, 8 minute exposure:

Sandy, that's pretty interesting how the rocks are almost entirely monochrome but the trees are colour.
I remember seeing a thread about the colour combination process using filters a while back...
It was kind of one of those "Hmmm what if...?" sort of moments
I had some Diafine kicking around along with Dektol, Rodinal, and D76. The Dektol was too contrasty for my tastes, Rodinal left this...
Glenn, I never even bothered with paper developers as I figured there would be too much contrast
I just went straight to Diafine at the normal 3+3...works fine as you can see above
Personally I quite like the stuff, it's let me play around with my images more:

This one is probably a little bit scary
8x10 efke positive cut down to 18x24ish (hence the wonky boarders)
Dan, there is a thread going currently about x ray film in the darkroom section
also there have been a few other threads about it, just run a search...umm here's one:

That's my best guess...
RC shouldn't make a difference from my experiences
