Hi DougD,
As far I as I know, the bag mags were only available for the cameras equipped with the "Graflex" back.

The creator of the video in this thread, Jerry Gordon Jr., is the person that can help you. He restores, repairs and sells Graflex cameras and accessories. I have dealt with him several times, with...

Thank you Philip! The church was in full sun, but a cloud passed over just before I popped the shutter, so I took a quick reading and opened up about 2
stops. Since the hills in the background...

Gary,
I bought a new V54 tube from them in January of this year. If you still want to try getting a replacement lamp, try contacting Louise Kessler at the
following email address. She is the go...
I like this very much. Thank you for posting it.
Aw man!!! You beat me to it. The exact same thought occurred to me! :)
Thanks for posting this Sal. I like the Fold Lock sleeves myself, but the 5x7 ones I linked to seem to only be available in polyester, which happens to be an excellent dust magnet. I think I'll try...
Hi Bernice,
Would these help? They're clear fold lock sleeves from Archival Methods.

Randy,
Could let us know how this works out? I want to do the same thing with my wooden 5x7 Elwood.
Thanks,
Mike Sullivan
I believe that your 8x10 and my 5x7 use the same style counterweight. I never knew about window sash weights, but I'm definitely going to check this out. Thanks for the advice.
Thanks Tracy, I'll, look into that. I'll bet that Elwood probably used an off the shelf part for this application. Gotta get the old monster set up.
Hi Tracy,
To add to the confusion, some of the wooden 5x7's do have the rack for the elevation as well as the focus. My 5x7 wood Elwood looks a lot like the 8x10 Commercial, only smaller. What I'd...
I love how the rocks get lighter the further they are from the camera. Did you use a filter for this photo? I ask because it seems to me that it would be very easy to ruin this image by using the...
Hi Jonathan,
I like this. I grew up in Pacifica, but I'm having trouble placing this. Where did you shoot it?
Thanks,
Mike Sullivan
Thanks again guys. I've decided that gleaning the GG with either Windex or a drop or two of Lemon Joy dish detergent in water is what I'll try first. For the mirror, I'll try the distilled water on a...
Thanks guys. I'll remove the ground glass and soak it like Jim says to start. The mirror is definitely a front surface mirror. Is there a way to clean the mirror without wrecking it? I know that...
Hi,
I just picked up an old 3x4 RB Auto Graflex. Looking down through the chimney, the image on the ground glass is somewhat dim and very low in contrast. The mirror appears to be in good...
Another thumbs up for Archival Methods. I place my order, I get my stuff. No problems.

I think that my tank is probably a good candidate for repair, based on the location of the break. There seems to be no damage to the tank other than in this one area, and no cracks running up or down...
Thanks Kirk,
Somehow that completely slipped my mind. It looks like I'm off to the hardware store.
Mike
Did you enlighten the Lomo shooter about the availability of film?
Hi,
I just picked up some 5x7 Kodak Hard Rubber tanks and one of them had a small chunk busted out in one of the top corners. The piece is with the tank and the break is a fairly clean break...
Check out this YouTube video from the View Camera Store. I think it is just what you're looking for.

Nice,
I have one of these old monsters that's waiting to be set up. I need to reconfigure my darkroom first. Have fun with yours,
Mike
My reaction on seeing this thread header was "Oh Sh*t". I'm very glad you're still with us Patrick!

That's great. What did did the problem turn out to be?

Hi. I recently purchased a 5x7 Elwood enlarger and I need some information. My enlarger uses a big metal weight, which slides up and down the rear of the upright column, to counterbalance the head...
People like Keith are an absolute joy to be around.

I heard that his ashes were placed in a hard to get to area on Mt. Ansel Adams by his son. Any body know about this?
I agree. It looks like he's standing next to that church he photographed back in the 1920's. The background doesn't look like natural rock to me. Do I win?:D
Nice shot. Is this the back end of a half-track?
Hi,
I'm coming to this thread rather late, but I thought I'd answer your question. The easiest way to tell is to look at the back of the Grafmatic for the catalog number. For the 4x5 Grafmatics it...
It is a very simple job to align the lens stage for front to rear alignment.
Look at the chassis of the enlarger and you will notice the wheels that ride up and down on the column. The upper...
