    Gitzo Cremaillere 3 ???

I came across a current Ebay listing for a Gitzo Cremaillere 3, with a possible local pick up here in L.A. I'm familiar with the newer (bewildering) series descriptors of Gitzo tripods, but not this...

    WTB: T-MAX 4x5 Film

Looking to purchase 20-25 sheets of 4x5 T-MAX 100. I didn't want to commit to an entire box ($70) until I've done some testing with the film. We can do this via PayPal. Let me know. Thanks!

Garry Winogrand Quote - "Why I Photograph"

Thought this quote attributed to 60s street photograph, Garry Winogrand, may be of interest for discussion. Naturally, there are a great many reasons--or combinations thereof--why we are drawn to...

Re: Zac's Camera Repair - RI

    Hey Barry,

Just the word I had hoped to hear, and I now feel better about sending my baby to him for reconstructive surgery. I hated to consider parting-out my limping Horseman LE. Using it is 2nd...

    UPDATE: Rodenstock 90mm f/6.8 - Late 70's Version

Upon re-inspection of the lens, turns out there is no indication of MC on the front lens flange, so I took a pass. It's probably a nice lens for B&W, but not something I wanted to invest in, nor am...

    Rodenstock 90mm f/6.8 - Late 70's Version

I have the chance to pick-up an older Rodenstock 90mm f/6.8 for $200. It has the "chrome ring" around the Copal shutter, and the serial number is 9478956. I think that is a late 70's model. Glass...
  12. Re: Filters: T-Max 100 and #15, #18 for Skin Tones

    John.

Your suggestions are geared for T-Max 100? I didn't know how to be sensitive to skin tone and ethnicity concerns, but yes... Caucasian.

In general, I prefer making adjustments along...
  13. Filters: T-Max 100 and #15, #18 for Skin Tones

Man I really suck at math and physics.

When using TXP or HP5+ for people, I normally use a #15 or #18 to place the skin tones where I want them, just a tad lighter to draw the viewer's attention...

Re: TMAX Films, TMAX-RS, Tank Processing?

Thanks. Well this gives me a bit more confidence, and I'll now begin the courtship with TMAX film and TMAX-RS, replenished, in a 1/2 gallon tank.

I think my first goal will be to get consistent...

Re: TMAX Films, TMAX-RS, Tank Processing?

Well, why not TMAX films replenished? Good question. I've had little experience with TMAX film throughout the years, and seemed like it wasn't as forgiving of minor variables in workflow, and to...

    TMAX Films, TMAX-RS, Tank Processing?

I've been a 1/2 gallon tank processing guy forever, I get consistent results I want developing 4-6 sheets at a time with TXP or HP5+ using TMAX-RS, replenished.

I've not come across any threads...
