Uploading the spreadsheet was a bit rushed and not explained much :)
I've changed the LED numbering to 0-255. The macro (you click the button "Run Macro") numbers each cell in the grid A1-P16...
not sure if I can upload an excel file but here goes... had to make a zip file...
in the attached, I have created a matrix (I used 2 loops but was having trouble getting it to do the whole grid...
Just to pick up on this sentence. Film exposed to light (the film leader) will go black if the developer is active. I do this when using older Xtol.
Just a quick flick through not really looking at the pictures (will come back later) , I noticed some had borders probably from scanning. Don't think you want them. eg Westcliff & Wameia Hawaii
I made one and added a LCD screen to make it stand-a-lone, although I need a couple of 'somethings' to hold the sensor and laser in place/alignment as being on the end of cables coming from the other...
I'd start at half box speed, but then I would do that with new film
For those suggesting buying 8x10 film here, you may have trouble laying your hands on it. Vanbars (in Melb) is listing some 8x10 in stock but the price might give you a heart attack! No idea what's...
I built an Arduino based shutter tester. I'm not sure it's very accurate or consistent when trying to use faster shutters speeds (that's what I want to convince myself of anyway after recording some...
That is a weird shape/angle for insufficient developer. You do agitate don't you? Having said that, I haven't got another explanation!
I think unfixed negs are best described as 'milky' rather than 'cloudy'. Looking at your images they look more like uneven development. Did you develop all 4 sheets at once?
I've got that on my screen too.... looks good.

I use to have to get from A to D... I could go A->B->C->D or take the direct A->D through the bull paddock... I'm sure the bull's name was Harry... "are ya feeling lucky.....
Since mid March (start of Covid) I've been scanning my negatives and slides (on an Epson v700). I've done approx 17,000. I do a few a day while I'm waiting for various work related tasks to...
I actually need to go back to work for a holiday! Job/home life get blurred too easily.
Photographically (not that I consider this photography as such) I've scanned 16,375 (give or take a few)...
Doesn't sound right to me. Commercially cut film fits my V700 4x5 holder fine.
If using Windows (no idea what a Mac does), try right clicking and pick "View Image" from the context menu.
Take lots of angles... i like that one though!
I like adding a set percentage from the last used amount. Adding 40% to the base is 16.7% more than your +20% time. If that's not enough, what's your next test... +60% of base? That will mean an...
I would add 20% to the +20% time not 40% to the base time.
I use a teaspoon... heated on the gas hotplates. I don't even have a special one, just grab one from the drawer... don't tell my wife! haha! I've done 8x10s using the clothes iron, works fine. Was...
The print (the negative) is processed in the Afghan as normal, but the contact 'positive' (using paper for both steps) is done in the 2nd box.
I made a separate 'darkbox' to do this. I chose a separate box for 2 reasons, firstly to allow me to leave the Afghan camera setup for picture taking and to optimise the interior for doing the...
Not sure why these attachments have loaded resized quite small, must be the forum software at work. Originals where in the 400KB - 500KB range and much more detailed, but anyway, I think it stills...
Reminds me of something that happened many years ago.. like about 25! I was racing sprint karts and a mate and I were standing near the grid observing nothing in particular and chatting. A young...
I started doing that but now just grab the tank from the top (grab the tank not the lid) when inverting.
Make yourself a box with sleeve(s) to put your arms in. IMO, wouldn't want to be dripping chems inside your change bag. Look up Afghan camera for how the sleeve works. I made one to accompany my...
As a stop gap measure, I ran transparent (eg 3M) tape over mine. Was better than nothing and now I have horizontal composition lines ;-)
The use of wetting agent is more to do with your water quality and how the neg dries (ie. if it dries with water spots) rather than what vessels was used to process it. So, if you don't currently...
yep, I held mine under the tap to get them out.
just reporting they have found their way to Melbourne. Australia!
won't the fridge motor coming on agitate it?
yeah... I can stop checking this thread now :)
haha, I can only dream of such speeds... yours included
recently upgraded from 1.5Mbps to 8Mbps (bandwidth of 100GB+100GB off peak) (actual between 2 and 6.5Mbps) and yep, that's as fast as we can...

I have a bad photocopy somewhere I could create a PDF from if I can find it and no one comes up with a better copy/PDF
I reverted back to using the Epson software instead of the supplied Silverfast SE as it's much easier and works fine for my purposes (I'm not after the very best scan possible)
I use the Epson...
We had a local site that did this. I once paid a bit much for a camera due to the 'one last bid' mentality... I'm sure the seller was happy!
I'm not sure but I think someone referred to it above, don't eBay charge based on the starting price of the 'auction' so the cost is cheaper is you start it at 99 cents, regardless if there's a...
