There was a post about TF2 - got me wondering about potential benefits of TF4 / TF5

  3. Re: Help me make a decision... Sinar Norma or Toyo.

I don't remember the exact details, but it had something to do with automating steps..self cocking? Quicker to use, if I recall. Never used one so don't know anything except what I recall...

Re: 5x7 TMY - Great Holiday Deal at B+H!

I've had backing paper issues with cold stored Fuji NPH.
I recently shot a roll of tmax100 (120 roll film) I had frozen in my freezer since 2001.
Processed normally. It was perfectly fine!

That's great you could revisit those negatives and print them well. Sometimes it's worth looking at old contact sheets and discovering an image that we may have overlooked or can be printed better...

Do you recommend a water filter ?

I finally have my new sink in place and doing the plumbing next.
Debating about whether I should incorporate a water filter?
I am on city water - so its pretty good (unless there is a main break)....

    Thanks for posting.
When I get my darkroom finally up & running, I will try your method.

Possibly museum glass would help, as it is coated on both sides with an anti reflection coating?

  38. Re: Ilford multigrade filters / size help / Omega D2 users

    Hi John,

Do you suppose it is some sort of focus shift?
Prob no effect in practical terms, as others on the board would have noted discrepancies in their prints.
    It's interesting to hear though.
  39. Re: Ilford multigrade filters / size help / Omega D2 users

    Hi John,

I did not think the Kodak filters were compatible with the current papers.
Good to hear they are an option, as I've seen them around in shops & had passed on them.
