    Hi,

I have a Schneider Componon enlarging lens (1:5.6 210mm). It came with a Beseler 4x5 enlarger. It is not mounted on a board and it does not fit any of the lens boards I have. Does anyone know...

Re: Pyrocat-HD Negatives & Alt Processes

Not sure. I suppose you could try rating it at 400 and see what happens. If your print looks good, it may just be extra overall stain that is adding to your print time.

Re: Pyrocat-HD Negatives & Alt Processes

    Andrew,

You don't say what film you are using, what dilution of Pyrocat, agitation method, EFS, etc. you are using. I point this out not to be critical, but because it would be useful info in the...
  5. Is there an on-line explanation of how CI, SBR and DR relate?

Go to your local library and ask them to borrow the book from another library via interlibrary loan. They will be happy to do it.

    Slow learner?.AZO Paper

I wonder what grade of AZO folks "standardize" on. Since it has a longer scale is grade 2 AZO realistically comparable to an average grade 2 enlarging paper? Has anyone enlarged and contact printed...

    Best Blackout material?

Home Depot (and others presumably) sells rolls of opaque plastic. I am not sure what it is intended for, but it blocks all light. The roll I have is 100' x 6'. I paid $40 for it. This is much...

    Green safelights

    Hi,

Does anyone know of a source for a Kodak #3 dark green safelight filter (or the Ilford equivalent).

    Thanks, Paul
  11. Contact Printing: Azo, graded and mc papers

I was wondering if anyone has experience contact printing with enlarging papers as opposed to Azo. I am playing with Azo at present, but am curious to hear what others may have experienced with...

    G-Claron for 10x8

As for coverage, while I do not have the numbers in front of me, I can tell you from practical experience that the 305mm has more than enough coverage for 8x10. In fact, it is the only lens I have....

    AZO Printing

    Michael,

I am no expert, but I have been down the same road. AZO is slower than enlarging paper, so you would do best with a light source that is brighter than your enlarger. I have used (with...

Thanks for all your responses. I had a feeling that there would be strong feelings about this. As suggested, I think I will give it a try and see for myself.
