I am looking for a display for my older Intel Madbook Pro and researching for a fully compatible BenQ model. My motivation is if I were to buy a PC desktop at some point the Apple Studio Display will...

Re: Anti Newton Glass on a budget

I am about to buy the 4x5 holder from Negative Supply and there’s a choice between “Micro Etched Acrylic” and “ANR glass”. I assume the ANR glass option is real ANR? The glass ANR option costs a...

I love NM. The last photography road trip I did was to Tucumcari with a 5x7 in March two years ago. White Sands is beautiful and so is Las Cruces.
  7. Re: Schneider Super-Symmar XL 110mm f5.6 v. Nikon Nikkor-SW 120mm f8

I default to 77mm and 105mm. Some of these Schneider lenses require a step up ring anyway. I don’t know why Schneider make their wide angles so the filter can potentially mar the coating. At least I...

Re: Do you get sentimental about your lenses?

I have a Cooke PS945 that to my surprise covers 5x7 at infinity at max aperture with movements despite published specs. I absolutely adore this lens and it’s the anchor that keeps me in LF.
  9. Re: Paterson Orbital: seeking advice on modifications for sheet film processing

I also use the silicone domes and they work very well. I use cotton swabs for dividers because you can pull out bits of cotton to fit but don’t reuse them. I had two (sold one to a friend) so I can...

  14. Re: Are 5x7 film holders made new by anyone besides Chamonix?

  26. Re: Do I need to worry about really heavy lenses causing damage?

  28. Do I need to worry about really heavy lenses causing damage?

I hope this is not a silly question.

It sounds like the camera itself is ok but the assembly is crap. Perhaps Intrepid should release as an option a kit so users can assemble one themselves?
