    Re: August 2013 Portraits

Tough, they are totally different pictures, each of them strong on their own.
I have always been a fan of harder, grittier pix.

    Re: post your Architecture photographs!

Why has the building been abandon? Is it contaminated?
It seems like a perfectly useable structure.

    Re: Power load requirements

Typically, the smaller "on demand" type heaters can not manage with the very cold city water feed during the winter months. Tap water can be as cold as ice from November/December to March.

    Re: Power load requirements

As I measure things out tonight and made a rough shopping list, I started to consider putting a 2 gallon hot water tank directly below the kitchen sink.
It runs on 110v and I could take the bathroom...

    Re: Power load requirements

    Bob,

The tank is a concern, the house is fitted with 2x 40 gallon tanks. I will see how the winter session goes and may be forced to swap out one of those tanks for a larger tank. That will mean...

    Re: Power load requirements

Thank you for all the tips.

Good point about 20g wire, I would have defaulted to 14 as almost all the breakers in the house are 15a.
But I might as well upgrade up to 20a while I am there.

    Power load requirements

I am laying out the electric wiring for the darkroom,
I have 3x 15amp lines in to the darkroom, plus overhead lights.
Is there any reason why I should consider more than 3x 15amp lines?

I am starting to look at ventilation in my new darkroom setup.

    Re: Aqvarium heater.

    Fredrick,

I use to process C-41 every day this way.
The key was a small aquarium pump to circulate the water in the tub holding the tanks.
Works very well once you get use to it.
