Thanks for the feedback Ari.
Do you think this is simply down to using Velvia, or would you suggest I have a go at tweaking the colors in post?

Thanks. It's maybe a little dark. I do seem to be consistently under-exposing my Velvia shots.
I had a play with the gamma and re-uploaded it to my Posterous account ( http://dubai.posterous.com/...

The processing on this one went a little awry unfortunately.
Except what you are choosing not to address is that the what is/is not LF was clearly explained by someone who posted in the thread.
If shot on a LF camera using a roll back, then 6x17 is...
I'd be more than happy to discuss the issue with the moderator who deleted the post, but there's no indication as to who deleted it, hence this thread.
Hi -
Is it too much to ask for the courtesy of an explanation for the deletion of a post?
Thanks.
Hi all -
Thought you might be interested in another update.
This week I've taken my first shots with the Walker, and have hit an immediate snag! It seems that nowhere here can develop 5x7 B&W for...
Hiya -
I called them up again to get clarification.
They can do E6 film up to 10x8 (including 5x7), but the machines they use for B&W can only handle up to 4x5 size.

Gerald.
Hi Professional -
Hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread.
As you know, I'm in the UAE too (Dubai). Can I ask which lab you used?
I just shot my first 12 sheets of 5x7 Ilford FP4+...
Thanks Tim, Lachlan for your help.
Much appreciated.
Hi all -
I'm a little uncertain as to which size of Lee push-on filter holder I would require for these two lenses.
I thought I'd read somewhere that the 100mm was the right one for the 72XL,...
Hahahaha!
Thanks.

Hi Professional -
Did you get your V750 from here in the UAE? I've been trying to find out from a dealer whether the Fluid Mount Accessory is included in the box, but have heard nothing back from...
Thanks Jack -
I know the height of the building (828 metres), but what I don't know is how high the shooting position is off the ground, but I suppose I could estimate it. I guess I could also...
Hi all -
I hope this is the right forum to ask this, and that someone here can help me because my brain has got a bit frazzled trying to work it all out.
I'm trying to work out whether a shot...
Fascinating thread everyone, and Steve's points really hit home for me.
Speaking as someone who has done more than his fair share of digital stitching in the past, I heartily concur with the...
I'm still waiting for my first large format camera to arrive (should hopefully be with me early March), but would fully agree with those who say that you just have to get out there and make the best...
Just thought I'd drop by with an update.
After much deliberation, I decided not to go for the 8x10, and am getting the 5x7 instead.
Seems like a good compromise between 8x10 and 4x5, takes the...
Thanks guys.
I've been doing a lot of reading on the forum - so much to learn about!
Something I haven't been able to track down here are any "noob" threads - threads collating the sort of...
Hi all -
Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself to the forum with my first post.
I guess I'd better get the a/s/l basics out of the way first:

Very much an...
