This lubricant doesn't attract that kind of stuff, it cost about $15 for 60mL.
Actually why did I say graphite, this is part of whats in it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polytetrafluoroethylene
Eg, the track on the rail?
I'd be using dry lubricant (graphite)
Everything was a little stiff so I'm currently cleaning it up well, make it nice and smooth again.
Full tilt on a 4x5" speed graphic.

Sounsd like for the time being I'm better off gaffa taping it in it's board to one of the calumet boards for the time being so I can return it to the speed graphic.
Just wondering how you remove the lens from the speed graphic lens board to put on another lens board.
On the back it has the raised ring with three holes in it that surrounds the rear element of...
When you say Tri-X I assume you refer to Tri-X, but this is a LF forum and Tri-X isn't available in LF, only Tri-X Professional.
Hi,
I'm not interested in playing with Photoshop on a random image.
I want to see images other people have printed in the darkroom from a negative with an upswept curve or S-shaped curve.
I...
One day that may change, we have lenses that are not diffraction limited, so stopping them down simply lowers abberrations and improves resolution, these have been demonstrated a few years back to...
Hey,
Can anyone share examples of upswept curves on film enlarged in the dark room and s-shaped curves as well.
I'd like to see some side by side.
Images tend to disappear from old...
Yeah one went for ~$200 including international shipping, which is about how much I picked up the speed graphic for, outrageous!
Can ge a nice F1 for ~$500 AUD which is good.
The Sinar looks the nicest, but I'm not sure which is for me.
I've already got one working 4x5 camera (Speed Graphic w 127/4.7 Ektar), so I want something a little more serious now.
Includes...
As seen here - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FAST-f1-25-195MM-LARGE-FORMAT-LENS-8X10-FIELD-CAMERA-/280499921613?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item414f1922cd
Seems to be interesting.. even if its...
Whats the shipping cost for international customers and where can they get it from?
I don't see why not, colour bleach is colour bleach, its made to do a single job, but it may or may not affect colour balance, there are other chemicals in the paper.
For fixer? Any thisulphate...
I dont like staining developers, they are also not useful for customised colour work, which I use rodinal for.
I was after commercial options of highly dilutable developers, that are non staining...
Rodinal 1+25, +5g of table salt (non-iodised!) per 300ml (16.7g per litre) of 1+25 working solution, 24c, 8-9min, plenty of agitation.
(NB: Do NOT use this as a first developer for colour reversal...
Hey, I like the idea of highly dilutable developers, like Rodinal.
I have raw chems here and have mixed up stronger stuff than Rodinal, but thats apart from the point, Im asking of commercial...
I agree, we have Xtol, why are there threads on D76 for? Just throw it in the bin!
:)
Anyway I use pretty much just Xtol and Rodinal and sometimes together! and random concotions I mix up from...
I've seen some 120 backs for graflex on ebay.
They look like my RB67 back glued to a 4x5" film holder for my speed graphic.
My question is - how would you get that under the ground glass at the...
You'll be able to get film from asia for long time to come, I remember few years ago Kodak investing in Lucky film factories in China when it was like 17th on the film market, China is now #2 on the...
Hi,
I measured my Pro 160S box of 10... 12x15cm by about 2cm thick, feels like about 100g, I want to calc postage for a box of velvia 4x5 50 sheets instead of getting ripped off on postage :)

Pushed to 400... in xtol 100ml, rodinal 4ml, water 100ml (long story)...
Anyway, so here I was loaded, 2 holders with 4 sheets of Arista 100 EDU Ultra, figured I better blow through this stuff Im...
SHIIIBBYYYY
Acros in my top 3 :)
Along with Ilford FP4 and Shanghai :)
If you put a lens on a camera with x resolution that doenst fully resolve the sensor or film then on a camera with much higher sensor resolution or film, it will resolve more on that second sensor or...
Except only the very best flatbeds dont reach 2400 dpi of real detail.
Photoshop is fast for me for stitching scans.
I use AutoPano Pro/Giga for actual panos with my nodal ninja and sometimes PTGui Pro.
All you need to do is auto-align layers, its quite fast for...
I recommend scanning at 3200 dpi some high radius sharpening (perhaps 1.8-2.5 pixel (maybe more depending on the image), 30-70% on smart sharpen or unsharp mask) then pulling it down to your desired...
On my speed graphic 4x5.
Had the dark hood propped open, had it on my suitcase and i went to sit down and like nudged/pushed a little the top of the dark hood with my arse and heard a shattering...
An artist need not explain their method, motivation, or content, they need not say or answer any question at all.
Whats the resolution of the digital system youre using the lens on?
f/11 is the diffraction limit for the Canon 20D, 30D, 5D Mk II etc, anything with a ~6.4 micron resolution.
I have to say...
So what do you call Sweden with the lowest serious crime rate?
Some not all, but objective indepedant testing is superior to subjective first hand experience.
The 70-200mm f/4L IS resolves past 4000 dpi (20D, 30D, 350D, 5D Mk II) wide open, and Im sure Ive...
The Canon 70-200mm f/4L at any focal length at any aperture, the Canon 85mm f/1.2L, and most likely the Korean Made Polar (rebadged as Samyang and Vivitar) 85mm f/1.4.

If LF lenses are optimised for f/22, then a 35mm lens is going to destroy it in resolving power on a 1:1 comparison basis (over the same area size, or per square mm, or per square inch, whatever you...
There is plenty of merit in 1:1 comparison of focal length shot from the same distance, it allows you to compare the optical resolution of each lens.
The diffraction limit for 4000 dpi worth of...
lol! (that is one of the less risque shots)
I have 3 sites for you:
modelmayhem.com
net-model.com
myspace.com (yes really)
think it'd be far cheaper to even free (the above was tfp) to get...
the bellows seems pretty damn long though? I barely have to pull it out to get infinite, we'll see :)
I remember seeing the opposite of a recessed board too for a smaller graflex.
I shoot all...
