  1. Re: Luna-pro advice. Which ones do you like and why?

I use, sometimes, ye olde grey Gossen LunaSix (same as LunaPro in Canada, long time ago). The spot attachment works great, but I don't have Zone System sticker as in my Pentax spotmeter.

  3. Re: Kodak Chemicals coming back under Photo Systems inc.

Like many, I moved away from Kodak chemicals in my darkroom. But I stayed with Kodak films, TMY, and to a lesser extent TXP. I did regret xtol and hc110 and might be tempted to use these film...
  4. Re: Today I threw away all my outdated film !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In similar circumstances, I threw out all my chemicals after reopening/refurbishing the darkroom, albeit some seem OK. Starting everything anew. But i did keep all the old TRi-X, expired 10 and more...

After mixing XTOL (or its equivalent), I pour it in stoploss bags, 1L per bag. It is easy to squeeze out air from them.

How does it do in cold weather, say around 0F ?
  13. Re: Planning Printed Portfolio: Any New Software Available?

    Ari,
Look into Adobe FrameMaker, it is very, very powerful. I use it on MacOS via VMWare Fusion, since FrameMaker is now supported only on (help...) Windows.

Not to mention that B&H is a convenient store for Canadian buyers. An important source of materials gone...Let us hope that they will revise this extreme policy.
  15. Re: Two Minute Water Bath before Developer, Good Idea, Waste of Time, or Bad Idea

I always pre-soak, but have only used Kodak BW film in 35mm, 120 and 4x5 formats, together with Kodak developpers in the last 30-40 years.
