Great set of images. I have a question since this is also a discussion forum. For those who scan and print large for color prints, what is the largest size your print. I'm looking on printing of my...

Well I strongly support an android version of the app.. Happy to beta test... I've got two versions to test it out on

Also would be cool if it had a field of view crop finder function

I'd make it ipad and iPad mini compatible or native

Perhaps trying to separate out the tonal ranges from foreground to midground might help a bit... If the image was in color, I'd imagine the color would let your eyes travel into the picture a bit...
Renato,
Thanks for the tip. I tried placing the shadows in zone 3.5-4 knowing that I could print down. I also knew I was using pyrocat so that gave me a confidence to let the highlights fly. I...

Really like the first one. Have you wet printed that one?
Lovely. Thanks for the pro tip
That belongs on a wall. I'd put it up on mine in a second
Definitely worth the wait. Lovely
Richard, you always put out a great series of photos. I noticed that there remains a particular color cast to your c41 images. I don't know if you intend this as part of your presentation or not. I'm...
Great to see a lot of love being shown to 617
Very nice series.. Third one belongs on a wall
I like the last one. Definitely shows the strength of a chrome
Dan, What a great series of 6x17
Nice work Sebastian.
To answer the question about your tripod, it depends. Monorail can be heavy. Not sure what the load capacity on your tripod or head is... You could always try and get a new one if you decide you like...
Definitely check out the front page of the website. It goes through a lot. Basics are loupe, camera, lenses mounted to appropriate lens board, film and film holders. Dark cloth is useful but a jacket...
You generally can't go wrong with most choices. As with everything there is a compromise on each system. Ditto on monorail if you plan on keep withe camera in a studio type setting with the...
I started with 4x5 and decided to stick with it. It satisfies every aspect of the contemplative/meditative process that is large format, with giving me an option of enlarging at a reasonable cost as...
I'll have to say that this one lens is my outlier as far as filter system is concerned... I still bit for it when making the choice. I get the frustration especially when a 75 grandagon plays nicely...
Top shot
I ended getting the center filter. It is enormous and worth it imo. I saw this from Lee but I'm sure it has some vignetting... But it also depends on what format you shoot. I might get it just to try...
Pali I'll have to say with the exception of the lovely cobalt blue on the slide film, there is just so much more detail in the shadows to work with on ektar. A little bump in saturation on a scan...
