    Re: Flowers Anyone?

I was having a hard time cropping this, so I slapped a matte over the 8x10 to see how it would be. It made everything better, so I exposed that way, which is why the soft lines and not-quite-white...

I've only been making prints for a little while now, so I'm getting comfortable and starting to have fun with it.

I can already tell I'll probably start screwing...

    Well said, Rick.

Re: Kodak Flurolite enlarger - negative carrier?

Awesome. Thanks so much. This is extremely helpful.

I'm thinking, at this point, it'd be more fun to build my own solution, rather than buy. I've got a fairly even amount of 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7...

Re: Kodak Flurolite enlarger - negative carrier?

This is most excellent. Did you scan this yourself?

It's my understanding that the Hobbiest and the Flurite were the same head on different hardware, so I'm thinking a couple of good shots of...

Re: Kodak Flurolite enlarger - negative carrier?

    After work I can.

Presumably it's a circular carrier, as the entire head/bellows assembly is circular. The head hinges up and down and would sit on top of the carrier. No spring loading involved...

Kodak Flurolite enlarger - negative carrier?

Perhaps the wrong place to ask, as the biggest this enlarger will handle is 6x9 medium format, but here goes.

I've been scanning my film for as long as I've been shooting - about five years now,...
  14. Re: Modular rail cameras - Compatible parts between manufacturers?

I've tried with various tools to remove those broken posts, but they're not budging.

While the camera remains functional, I prefer my toys unbroken. :D

    I purchased a second 45F last night,...
  15. Re: Modular rail cameras - Compatible parts between manufacturers?

That's kind of what I thought would happen. I'll probably buy a complete (but lensless) 45F kit with a standard bellows. It's always good to have spare parts.

    Thanks Gem, and thanks all
  16. Re: Modular rail cameras - Compatible parts between manufacturers?

I've seen D's and E's priced to my liking, but I'm under the impression that the bellows are not user-removable? I'm currently sitting on a very nice bag bellows from my broken F that I'd really like...
  17. Modular rail cameras - Compatible parts between manufacturers?

So I started a thread awhile back about getting a hold of a Toyo/Omega 45F, which arrived with knobs broken off each of the standards.

The conclusion of that story was that I filed a claim with...

Re: Toyo-View 45F knob screw repair?

Well, a little research with a pair of pliers and elbow grease indicates that these posts will not be removed. Looks like I'll be replacing the standards when/if affordable replacements are...

Re: Toyo-View 45F knob screw repair?

I'm not at all opposed to epoxying some hardware store bolts in there if I can get the posts out, so I guess that's question #1 for when I get out of work.

Ideally I'd love to have a box of...

    Toyo-View 45F knob screw repair?

    I've recently acquired a Toyo-View (or Omega-View) 45F.

The front/rear standards have the screw posts broken off that allow for the tilt. I have the knobs, but there seems to be no way to remove...
