Nice review, Austin. I really enjoyed reading it. The camera sounds great for a quick setup (esp. as opposed to the F1), and actually seems to have more movements and extension than I expected.

I'm using the below, and like it very much:

Thanks! I'm very happy with it. Looks great printed.
Trees are one of my favorite subjects. A bit of a light leak here, but what's a little light leak between friends?

I hate to admit it but I've only used it on one shot. Acquitted itself nicely, IMO. I need more experience with it to say more. I guess I'm just not a 90mm guy at this point. I use my 120mm...
Thanks for the details -- interesting. I found this example at the Colorado Railroad Museum in/near Golden just last weekend.
I keep dreaming of an Arca Swiss D4 geared head. Like a 3-way, but without the protruding handles. Used ones are almost never for sale, so buyers must keep them. Eventually I'll pull the trigger,...
Thanks! :)

I like this a lot. It has an obvious fore, middle, and background, and I actually think that gives the mountains massive scale.
Texture you can almost feel. Nice!
That is really atmospheric. Love it!

I have an older Arca Swiss F-Line Basic 171x171 that I basically am in love with. The only thing that could make it better would be that bit more portability. Hence the F-Field of dreams. I also...
I just did a search on KEH and didn't get a hit, but I didn't try very hard. These things seem to be rare as hen's teeth. I've been kind of wanting one, but I think I might be going for the Arca...
Wow nice!. I have to try slide film sometime soon. Do you dev your own, or send it out? I do my B&W, but E-6 is just one step too far for me.
Thank you!

Great contrast in textures, and a nice abstract composition.
Wow, super-nice!
Nice! I was considering one of these until a used F1 showed up here, and I went for it to save some money. I like the non-folding idea, though. I also like that the H-1 has rear rise/fall. I'm...
Thanks, I will definitely keep that in mind!
I should check out a Tiltall sometime. Everyone seems to love them, and they are so inexpensive. On the other hand I have too many tripods already (is that possible?).
Trying to save money on a tripod can be a money waster, IMO. Consider buying a used, name brand, offering. I can recommend Gitzo and Manfrotto as the classic go-to brands. The next tier of brands...
I'll second the use of a Rodenstock 135mm Sironar-N. That's what I have tucked away in my FA. That focal length is pretty versatile, too, IMO.
Interesting to know that your camera was stiff from new. Thanks for the response!
That has occurred to me, but I thought I'd ask owners first, just to see how typical it is or if they'd...

Hi all. The "frame locks", for lack of the correct term -- those things that lock your lensboard/back/bellows into place in the format frames -- are very stiff and hard to move on my older F-Line...
Thanks for watching my video. Glad to know if was useful. I'm 99% sure I'll sell it, but I want to make a comparison video first. I'll contact you here if/when I decide to sell it.
Thank you! I'm not very experienced with LF, but have shot a lot of film over the years. This trip was my first full-on "hike in and spend hours getting some hopefully good LF shots" trip, and I...
Yes, really nice! Did you use an ND filter to get such a long exposure, or was it just low light and reciprocity failure?
Thanks. I enjoyed shooting this setup so much on the trails that it has me thinking seriously about an F-Field, to save some weight, but enjoy the same "user interface". Just trying to decide if I...
My lovely Arca Swiss F-line 4x5" at Lower Howard's Creek, Clark Co., KY. I chose to carry this rather than my Horseman 45FA in the airports, on the airplanes, and around the forest. I'm so glad I...
