    The bulb inside the Super chromega II is the correct 24v/250w one as per recommended.

    The fueses on both chromegatrols work fine. Only problem is, one buzzes for a few seconds if set to FOCUS,...

    My dad thinks I should bring a smaller format camera instead. Might face some predicaments with local law enforcers if I were to bring a 4x5 and a tripod. Might not even bring a Leica....

    Rectified the leak with some gaffa tape around the edges. I will need to glue it back when I have the time to do so.

    Also I find it a bit odd that the locking knobs that secure the wooden thing...

    Did the flash light test. Bellows show massive leakage at the point where it is glued on to the front standard. Is there a safe way to remove the bellows, for reattachment ?

    The camera arrived today!

    Upon fondling with the camera, I noticed that a screw came off, the one that locks the front swing. Luckily I found it in the box.

    Heavy Tripod for my 4x5

    Am investing in a heavy tripod.

    How to properly use my Chromegatrol so it doesnt give in like the others?

    Maybe only print in 5 minute intervals to let the bugger rest? Last one failed during 5 successive prints.

    Also the working one is dependent on a transformer, since it's 120v. Voltage in Malaysia is 240v.

    Most of the prints on flickr with thetags 'omega d5' has some vignette..

    I dont quite mind the vignette now. But it's a major turnoff not being able to print.

    I use the medium format one. Just cleaned the diffuser plate. Maybe the lining needs replacement...

    Can't do anything now since both chromegatrols don't work.

    I cant do anything now since both my chromegatrols are dead.

    They power up, fan spins, but no light.. Bulb has been replaced.

    One of my chromegatrols just gave in. It powers on, but it doesnt light up the light source. Luckily I was given 2 upon purchase, and recently bought another one off ebay for 100USD.

    Vignettes when enlarging 35mm negatives!

    Flat lens board, it focuses sharply, but vignettes heavily.

    Enlarger has been aligned...

    Just double checked, the seal on the color head has deteriorated, since the grooves are worn out too, some light leaks can be seen. Ill seal it off with some cardboard everytime I print.. No biggie

    Here's an update :

    The counter balance springs arrived, and have been mounted on the Omega D5 XL.

    Bought some allen keys, aligned the baseboard, negative tray. The color head is about 70%...
