I have found that Tamiya rubber wheels, for their small battery powered cars, 1:32 scale Mini 4WD type cars (kinda like slot cars, except without the slots), fit fairly well and tight on most of the...
WOW !!!, just tried out your anti-robot feature (i.e. trying to see what pulls up as my email address)
Great work, other forums should use this example.

QT who is going to moderate this forum, yourself I hope?
This is very good to see, especially since the LF forum at photo.net has basically degenerated into nothing more than personal attacks and...
Kodak not making film in 5 years, so what.
As long as Fuji's outlook is good and they're filling the market that Kodak relinquishes, no problem.
I haven't used Kodak film or paper in more than...
Also, look here for the manufacturer's site (in Japanese).

I can attest to the fact that the Cambo SC and SCX (i.e. now the Calumet 45NX) can be used for professional results. In fact, in the mid 80's, most of the large format photographers I assisted used...
I guess I swallowed hook, line and sinker. :>}
I have the 2450 and like it. Scans of 4x5 chromes so far have turned out pretty nice for 8x10 printing. Can't complain for $400.
I'm pretty...
Where can I get more info on the Epson 2480? What's the differences between the 2480 and the 2450? Any info on line?
I like the Hakuba brand. I purchased mine in lieu of a Cabin. I liked the Cabin as well, but the Hakuba just seemed right for me.
I'm considering the same issues.
I expect to be working with 500MB+ files so here's what I'm considering.
Dual AMD MP 1800+ processors, Tyan Tiger MB, starting out with 1GB of DDR PC2100 ECC...
MORE COMMERCIAL WORK !!!
No, I don't mean more ads.
I mean more articles about commercial photographers who use large format in their ad jobs. You know ... product photography, etc. There's a...
Not sure how much you're willing to spend, but have you considered a studio stand. These are about as sturdy as you can get.
They are heavy but roll on wheels. You can lock most of the stands by ...
Hmm ... extraneous white space seems to get deleted. Must ne to save bandwidth.
Anyhow, I meant to say bellows factor.
Guess I should have mentioned ...

Just print it out and paste it onto heavy paper. I have one in each camera case. Even use it...
And an even easier way.

Make one of these and never have to calculate again. Better than the one that Calumet sells.
Chris,
Examine the interneg carefully the same way you examine the chrome. It SHOULD be very sharp as well. If it's not, then they screwed up.
Understand, the print is now a third generation...
Looks like I'll need this item as stated above.
Graphic-to-Toyo Studio (158mm) lens board adapter.
(Toyo No. 1050 AFVM)
Also found a couple of neat items on the Toyo site. Toyo No.'s 12045 ...
Yeah, I suspected it'd be some type of custom job. I was just hoping that someone, somewhere, had already done this and a commercially made adapter was already available.
I've read on the Walker...
It's not the availablity of the boards.
I also have a Toyo studio camera, and want to use the same lenses on the Speed/Crown Graphic. I don't want to unmount and remount lenses.
Toyo has a...
Is there a converter for using Toyo (field camera) lens boards on a Speed/Crown Graphic?
I don't have a Speed/Crown Graphic but am looking seriously into purchasing one. I've been to...
Awlright, I'll have to chime in now.
Actually, it IS better to put the car in neutral. There is a matter of the throw out bearing to consider with manual transmissions. It will last longer if...
Sorry for the grammar.
How about used a recessed len board reversed? Would this give you enough extension for the lens you're using?
Just a thought.
I have the Hicks book and have to say I like it.
As for the retouching, damn, they didn't retouch back then. On some it looks like they took a spray can, chisel, bleach, razor blade, steel wool,...
I think the major distinction between pro and amateur is the pro's ability to produce consistent results upon demand.

To add to Wayne's response.
As far as I'm concerned, no matter where you originally came from, when you're in America, you're an American. I too want to express my gratitude to all the heart...
To answer your question about whether X-rays will damage film. Yes they will, there is no disputing this. In addition, it is an accumulative effect (i.e. the more times the film is x-rayed the more...
Have you perhaps not calculated for bellows extension when making your exposure determinations?
It would probably be a good idea to test the back and rear standard of your view camera. It could be that the film holders and readyload holder are not in the sharpest plane of focus for your back....
