    Re: Rear mount CF?

So, Schneider made the lens and Schneider makes the filter? Do I read that correctly?
    Have you asked Schneider?

Variation on a theme. Just another Cooke. This is the Series XV, the old version of the XVa on a Gandolfi 8x10.

    Re: Edward Steichen Photos Found

Looks like they just chose some random known Steichen images to illustrate the story. Would have liked to have seen what the fuss was really about.

    Sinar DB Question

I just bought a lens in a Sinar DB mount. It's an f/4.5 lens. When the aperture control lever is fully open (maximum aperture) I noticed that the aperture blades were still visible in the lens and...

  23. Re: Inexpensive machinist for simple repair?

Maybe not such a simple repair. And "inexpensive machinist" is an oxymoron. You get what you pay for, sometimes less. Charges usually start at 1 hour of basic shop time and go up.
