I personally love the Beseler 45universal b&w Head followed by the Zone VI VC Head then the Ilford 500
Good price. Have had a few zone vi over the year 4x5-8x10. All have been built well and never had any issues. The 4x5 still have parts floating around and usually readily available forsale.
No offense but it will probably cost you less to find the correct size board than it will be to have a shop do that. Most wouldn't do it for less than the minimum $150 shop rate. They are a business...

Yeah. It seems like the 1000 watt head is quite different from the 2000 watt. Until I can find a diagram for my set up , I’m not sure even how it works 100%. The EST 1000N power unit has a plug on...

Did you send of a 8x10 system or regular?
They are different. You can't use the standard control pad with the LE system.
I am not sure apogeebee on Ebay will work on the 810 system but definitely give him a message. If you need the Service manual I can scan mine when I get a chance.
Have you tried to turn on the light with the door closed, it kills the circuit if open. Do it in a darkened room its not very bright, one of the drawback of the 810 head. No white light focus. Do you...
Got them moved into the room. Made a stop gap crank to be able to raise and lower the color one until I find the controller or build/find another hand crank.
Now to figure out why the cls1840...

Photography by Barbara London and John Upton. Used as a text book for a lot of programs. It should be required reading for anyone starting out.
It was actually easy. They aren’t open. Online only.
Didn't know they made one in that size. Will have to keep an eye out for one.
Yes. I may still get another 45vxl again but plan to get both L184’s up and running for the new darkroom build. Hope not to have to switch the crank back and forth. May have to pick up a basket case...
I only have one hand crank unfortunately.
Here is the main reason I got this lot.
I know them, just don’t care to deal with them. Thanks though.
Like the title says looking for the schematic for the L184 electric lift controller. The one I bought didn’t have the controller and I need to make one. Thanks
About 600 miles round trip. It’s about my max to get stuff, same day turn around.
Went thru some of the stuff and cleaned up the CLS1840.
Found these on Facebook marketplace. Wish one of them had the vacuum baseboard like my old L184.
2 Durst 184. Shouldn’t need much but a good cleaning. 1840 color head and Ilford 500
I’m in both Tacoma and Portland off and on all year for business. Will have to try that one. Have been to both Glazier and Kenmore but been a long time. Just getting back to LF after a 10yr hiatus....
Just passing thru don’t need supplies. Just looking for gear I might not want to pass up lol
Any good shops for large format near Tacoma?
As said above a dry lubricant is your best bet. any wet lubricant or wax will attract dust and grit and cause scoring of the rails and gears.
Is there still a lot of interest out there for a 810 conversion kit?
Looks like its made from pressboard to me. Kind of reminds my of a DIY camera.
You can usually pick up a lightly used Gitzo through the board or KEH in you price range.
If my memory serves me correctly they are glued same as the 45M series. When I did the conversion years ago I had to carefully separate the bellows and reglue them to the new plate.
That sucks. I prowl Craigslist a lot in an Az,Nv,and Ca. I will keep my eye out and definitely let you know if I run across anything.
Let the panic buying commence.
I hate to even say that but you know people will.
As poorly as I've seen it work on trailers I wouldn't trust it in a sink.
I have looked into a few option and I may pick up another 8x10 down the road but for now I am seriously looking at a used Arca Swiss F-Line Field and picking up a long bellows. I don't have the...
